Hello Ellie - I used to live in King's Lynn before moving to Cambridgeshire. Where did you study Animal Welfare? Before coming to the USA 18 years ago, I worked at the Cambridgeshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture at Milton near Cambridge, which is now part of West Anglia College. Small world isn't it?

I used to play guitar but I haven't played since I have lived in the USA (18 years). I wasn't that good, but I could accompany myself to folk songs etc. I played recorder in school too (don't want to say how long ago THAT was!)

Several foods can have an effect. Aging can too. However, since you say they are getting more yellow every week that would lead me to think it i something in your diet. I would talk to the dentist.

Hi everyone,
I have been vegan since 1997. I used to do weight training prior to that and gave it up to pursue other forms of exercise. For the last 2 1/2 years I have been doing low impact aerobics. The classes changed to a later time which was inconvenient so now I am back at the gym and really enjoying it again. I am not trying to build, but I would like to be better toned. I am looking forward to "meeting" you all!

I am in a similar situation. I went back to the gym just over a month ago. I work out three times a week - I would like to do more but I work full time. I go twice after work when I do half an hour of cardio (I do push myself) and then an hour of weights. because of time restrictions I do upper body one night and lower body the next. Sunday is my big day. I go early in the morning and do a really good 2 hour workout - again starting with half an hour of good cardio. I lost a little weight to start with but then I put some on which is fine as I had gained a little muscle. Now I seem to be at a plateau. It is hard to find the right balance between eating enough food to keep my metabolism happy and less food to try and lose a little more weight. Belly fat is my problem. I do eat soy so after reading the previous posts I should try and cut down on that.
