Hmmm, could try this tomorrow? 1. 1/4 cup oatmeal with blueberries and flaxseeds 2. Vega shake n go with hemp milk 3. Hummus on Ezekiel wrap, greens 4. Almonds and 3 oz sweet potato 5. Salad with tofu, olive oil, rice vinegar, broccoli
  2. Thank you! I posted some pics on my journal under "9 weeks til bikini comp". I am struggling with the new diet. My carbs are much higher than my protein intake. You seem to be doing well on yours! I went almost a year without eating fruit bc everyone said don't eat it bc of the sugar content.......I started eating it again last week! We can get those beautiful muscles!!!!!
  3. Hi! I am new to the site and need some advice! I have been training for a year now and have lost 10% body fat. I gained quite a bit of weight after I had my second child. I looked in the mirror last year and said that is it! I am 32, 5'9, 148 lbs, bust 36, waist 28 and hips 35 1/2. I just started with a more natural diet. For the last year I have had nothing but chicken, egg whites, tuna, spinach and that is about it. I have been transitioning over the past week eating more fruits and veggies and I feel so much better already. I am having trouble with my macronutrients, I am consuming too many carbs and not enough protein now. Do I cut out the fruit? I started eating fruit again because for the past year I was basically told that fruit is bad bc of the sugar content. Mango is delicious!!!! Hopefully in 9 weeks I can walk across the stage for my first bikini comp! I need to lean out and not exactly sure how to do it. I think I need to start lifting heavy because I cannot see my biceps/triceps or maybe it is still the layer of fat there? Today I ate: 1. 1 tbsp vega shake n go smoothie, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup strawberries, hemp and almond milk, coffee 2. 1 oz. almonds, diet dew(my fave, need to cut it out) 3. spinach with 1/2 cup edamame, 1 oz tofu, 2 tbsp salsa, 5 greek olives and 1/2 cup of mango 4. Brown Rice protein shake(absolutely disgusting) with hemp milk 5. Tuna(sorry, I am still working on it) , 1/2 cup quinoa with red peppers, olive oil and lemon juice, mango sauce My total calories were 1371 and I can have up to 1776 on a cutting diet. I am over my carb limit and not enough protein. Today was a rest day but I biked for 30 minutes, burned 190 calories and then 200 twists.
  4. Hi! I think the books and dvd's are great too! The only thing is the organization I want to compete in has different posing guidelines. This one poses more like figure which was strange to me so I will have to spend the money to get posing lessons.....From what I have seen, almost all bikini comps are the same. Just check the organizations posing guidelines to be sure. I have been training for a year and had to lose 28 lbs bc I gained so much with my second child. I am still not sure if I can be ready by Nov 2 but I am trying! This is a completely new way of dieting for me(just started) I am used to the standard bodybuilding diet and I am sick of it! I don't think it will take you that long to get bikini ready. You are already thin so it shouldn't take long. Maybe start lifting heavy? I think I am going to have to bc I am not making any upper body changes. Angela
  5. You can do it! I am hoping to compete in my first bikini comp in Nov. There is so much to learn about competition prep. I am still learning. I found a coach on www.natural bodybuilding.com and she has posing lessons for the comp I am entering. They are expensive but well worth it. You may be able to find a coach in your area. Have you been to a show yet? Angela
  6. Good luck with your comp! I like jumping lunges and plie jump squats!
  7. Thank you Robert! I will start an online Journal! I calculated my macronutrients for a cutting diet and I am trying to come up with something that works. I have 9 weeks and I hope to look better and feel better for my first comp. I will try the tofu and tempeh too
  8. Hi! Try the Spartacus workout and it will get you in shape! All you need is a dumbbell or kettle bell. I am still sore from doing the workout on Tuesday and I weight train and do cardio daily! There is a version by Funk Roberts and the standard version you can find on you tube. Let me know if you try it! It is great!
  9. Has anyone tried peaceful planet? All of the health food stores are out of Vega and I need something asap. I would much rather use Vega but this is all I can find.
  10. Thanks but I don't feel well on that diet. I have been eating more veggies and fruit again and not eating chicken or beef. I feel much better. I just don't know what to eat 10 weeks out to maximize fat loss? Any ideas? Thank you!!!!
  11. My name is Angela and I have been training for the past year. I have been eating the standard high protein diet for competition training. I have 10 weeks until my first bikini competition and need to lean out. I am so sick of consuming chicken,fish,etc.... I really don't know where to start with a vegan pre-contest diet.
