  1. Those taste as good as they look!
  2. This is a must see movie and the best part is, it's free on google. Give it 20 minutes and you won't stop watching until it's over. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4312730277175242198
  3. Everything looked great yesterday at Whole Foods so I just started grabbing stuff everywhere. This should last a few days! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/RIPMacDre/fruit001.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/RIPMacDre/fruit002.jpg
  4. Thanks! I eat whatever I want, as long as it is raw. It really varies from day to day. I usually eat fruit during the day and at night, I will eat more fruit or some nuts.
  5. Well guys, I have a confession to make. I haven't been working out at all and when I was working out, I never did any special training for my forearms. I guess it is just the raw food I have been eating.
  6. My Mom, Jamye and I had such a great time in S.F. last Saturday on the Walk for Farm Animals. We started walking at Pier 1, walked to Pier 39 and then back to Pier 1. There was large group of us who walked (maybe 45-60??) and I wish I would have taken more photos but I was too busy passing out flyers. I'm so excited to go again next year!! PS- I'm so proud of my mom. She has been raw vegan for almost 3 months and has lost 30 pounds. She looks great and her skin is really starting to glow!! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/RIPMacDre/Walk2006-1.jpg
  7. I've been so incredibly busy that I totally forgot that I even posted this photo and I apologize for not responding to you all. _raVen_- Yes raw is working for us very well. The night we ate there my mom and I got the pesto pizza and the Hawaiian pizza and we shared it. My fiance got the enchilada which is my new favorite. Thanks everyone!
  8. We went to Cafe Gratitude tonight and I got to sport my cool new T-shirt. I've been training my forearms hard lately, watch out Robert. Cafe Gratitude is a raw vegan restaurant in Berkeley and the food is yummy! Thanks again Robert! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/RIPMacDre/9.jpg
  9. This is the model we have. It works great for grinding flax seeds. We bought ours at Target. http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-80355-Coffee-Grinder/dp/B000A1FFNG/sr=8-2/qid=1158186798/ref=pd_bbs_2/104-7956787-4794355?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden
  10. Sorry it took so long for me to respond. I basically eat what I want, when I want it, as long as it is raw. My hunger for different foods really depends on the day. Some days, I want watermelon only. Other days, I want something heavier, like avocados or maybe a recipe out of the raw "cookbook" we have. Yesterday, I had a fruit smoothie in the a.m., an avocado and raw chili throughout the day. Before I went to bed, I ate raw chocolate pudding over a banana. Yummy!
  11. Beautiful photo!! Welcome to the site!
  12. You can do anything you believe you can do! Congrats! When I saw the photo of you doing the flag it brought a HUGE smile to my face.
  13. Oops, I don't know how this got posted in this section too. My computer was acting up when I tried to post my update and it was posted in two sections on the forum. Sorry about that! Thank you all very much for your great comments! It really means a lot to us and we are very happy to inspire people to make healthy changes in their lives. As far as books and resources, the one book that we did buy that really helped us in the beginning is called “Living on Live Food” by Alissa Cohen. It can only be bought on her site and here is the link. http://www.alissacohen.com/shop/product.php?productid=1&cat=2&page=1 For anyone just getting started, I would start right now by just eating more fruit and/or veggies and then I would buy the book above if you want tons of tasty recipes. The more raw foods you eat, the more your body will crave. Keeping mental notes about how you feel when you eat raw is very helpful to keep you on track. Sometimes Jamye and I forget just how good we feel and so we think back about how we used to feel before. As far as a support system and place to get info, we have lots of options but I would start on the web. The first place to get help is on this wonderful site. We have a bunch of cool people here that only eat raw so if you have questions just ask the forum or PM me. I'm willing to answer any questions and offer free phone help/support. The second place I would recommend is Bigbwii's site. He has a whole site dedicated to a fruitarian/raw lifestyle. You can check out his site at http://s12.invisionfree.com/FLF/ If you need anything else, just ask me.
