Nobody cares if you're doing something weird. If they, do, fuck 'em, etiquette at the gym is minding your own business. Also if you don't think you're doing the form right, try exrx.net, youtube, or as suggested ask a gym trainer.

How is 70/30 the best AA profile? I want to see the numbers. I've been ordering 70/20/10 gemma hemp rice, and various combinations similar to that. I have 90/10 gemma hemp in the mail coming monday..

around 1:30am: 265 barbell bent row x13 95lb preacher curl x22 270 assisted dips x20 190lb crunch x24 or 26, kept losing count.. it seems like my barbell bent rows are finally slowing down. this is the first time since around 220lb that i couldn't do more than 20 right away per 5 pound increase. also the preacher curls i did tonight were with a bar that i ASSUME was 25lb by itself. ez-bar, looks olympic, research suggests it was. i hate the squeaky noise it makes while curling it! all in all a good workout.

Vega sport is an actual protein powder. the other Vega tub is a whole food meal replacement, recently renamed to a health optimizer. it's an ideal breakfast with almond hemp or soymilk. add a banana and make a smoothie with it, and you'll be full for hours.. it contains a full multivitamin, berry complex, serving of chlorella and maca, and is basically everything your body needs in a low calorie package. the vega sport protein is the same amount protein but a different formula specifically for recovery, like any other protein powder. I've been eating the Vega Health Optimizer for years every day as a breakfast. It fills you up instantly and even if you don't get around to eating lunch for a while longer than usual you won't feel bad. for $5 a serving it's awesome.

What's the biggest motivator of your vegan diet?
awaken375 replied to Bonn1997's topic in General Discussion
First of all there's healthiness. Then there's that not hurting animals makes for less karma, which means personal healthiness once again. So for selfish reasons, don't hurt animals. Also being reminded that meat eaters are like parasites that act like retards. Does being smarter count as healthiness in this option? I will never forget veggieboards' stupid things omnivores say thread. Two girls are making coffee. One of them puts soy milk in theirs. The other one says "eww, bean juice!" -

305lb deadlift x8 125lb overhead press x15 135lb bench press x20 deadlift is not making gains rep-wise. it feels easier at first each time i do them, but less than last time. it could've been because i didn't have my chalk and my grip started failing, but after i got sloppy with my lockout i started to not make it there. chalk got lost, have to get more tomorrow. also can't find in the backlog how frequently i deadlifted before, when i was making mad gains. i remember thinking about how every 72 hours was too often, so i'm going to switch my routine to every other day instead of 2 days on 1 day off. this will give all my lifts a 4 day rest period. thanks for the compliment on the ohp

Do you use supplements? Which ones?
awaken375 replied to robert's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
Vega meal for breakfast. Vega oil blend at the same time. LJ100 on occasion. tattvasherbs.com's 'male shakti' (tribulus, ashwagandha, mucuna pruriens, shilajit) on occasion. DHA on occasion. I also eat a second dosage of 2.5g chloressence every day to stay alkaline w/ heavy amounts of protein powder. Vega pre-workout drink and Vega recovery drink. just got some vega endurance bars, hope they'll sustain my workout.. i splurged instead of getting raw dates. will know tomorrow! I also have some vitamineral green and healthforce spirulina powder left.. but since I don't have a need for a multivitamin with the vega I save it for a recovery drink. Also occasionally take some 5htp and DMAE. -
Need some help and feedback on nutrition program
awaken375 replied to Teyranker's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
If you plan on gaining muscle doing progressive resistance training every few days, then don't eat only 100g of protein. For someone who's 6', I would recommend 200g. Thoughts on protein powder: absolutely vital. If you're not going to do anything for muscle building you don't need it. If you are, you do, because you don't want to get all your protein from foods since the calories add up. It's the most annoying part of being a weight lifter. You have to drink a quick protein shake with ~25g 5+ times a day every couple hours just so the other 100g of protein you eat a day isn't leaving you bulking too slow. Sure, you can get by with it, but not if you're going to hit the weights more than once a week... There's an amino acid profile chart somewhere in this forum with plant protein info. It appears that the best for muscle gain is gemma protein isolate ($5/lb from trueprotein.com). -
If you can afford it, $60/15 servings vega whole food health optimizer is a $4 meal plus what you mix it in.. Hemp, yellow pea, rice, spirulina, quinoa, pumpkin seed are all probably safe. Trueprotein.com lets you make a mix. Try something like gemma protein isolate (yellow pea) with hemp and rice. 40% gemma, 40% hemp, 30% rice. that's about 5 bucks per pound. and their premium flavors are vegan. Whole foods has lots of protein powder mixes you can try. Also veganessentials.com.. sucks you can't eat soy and gluten, but most vegans tend to grow out of the fake meats and all that anyway.

Hardgainer trying to bulk up...
awaken375 replied to johnbiggity's topic in Before/After Photos & Progress Photos & Videos
http://stronglifts.com/how-to-gain-weight-for-skinny-guys/ this isn't all vegan, but you can take the numbers into account. there's no such thing as a hardgainer.. just eat more protein between lifts. and maybe get deeper sleep.. turn lights off an hour before sleep (melatonin). make sure you sleep in silence (alpha waves are required for muscle). and i don't know if you're planning on enough protein. i'd shoot for 200g/day. if you want to eat more protein in one sitting, get chlorella. the chlorophyll will keep you alkaline when you double-dose the protein scoops. i was trained 3 sets of 8 reps. once 24 reps are complete, add 5 pounds. eating lots of pasta and protein should get you where you want to be.. i feel like i'm rambling. -
Unexpected side effects to going vegan/vegetarian
awaken375 replied to hellguy's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
with vega my energy levels are so high that when i go to the gym and work every muscle group to failure i sit in the jacuzzi with the same energy i had when i came in.. although my muscles are too spent to move as well. and i could see myself doing it 2 more times.. except for having failed muscles. also, problems like indigestion, and complexion. eating lots of omega 3 helps with that, plus it makes your hair shinier. so basically i feel like i'm high on energy with no discomfort in my digestive tract. because i eat an omega 3 oil my brain works quicker too. i've noticed on a vegan diet (probably for this reason) that i can write more, and use/understand words. i.e. english becomes more complex and enjoyable to use. remember that all of the historic geniuses were vegan. einstein, plato, socrates, leonardo da vinci, tesla, ben franklin. inventors/philosophers/mathematicians/artists.. veganism strengthens these abilities. meat eating i think has a tendency to cause learning disorders, lower consciousness (hindu), a loss of creativity, and even an ability to love (pythagoras). meat eaters are the type of people that notice veganism is better, feel insecure, and try to talk others out of it.. because they'd rather forget that there's better than become it. and their attempts at doing it are stupid to a fault.. i.e. trying to say that bean juice (soy milk) is bad to put in your coffee, or that while you're making obvious muscle gains it's impossible to actually do so. consider that if this learning disorder is true that meat eaters are set back to childhood in terms of psychological development. i honestly learned about this firsthand when i was two, storytime: it creates a hostile impulse in the brain. this causes them to forget that they naturally discovered meat eating was bad in their biology and because of this discovery it's time to change. this leads to adapting into negative behavior where one would prefer to use a loss of memory over continuing to notice that they're doing the wrong thing. every meat eater for this reason has the tendency to shut off logical behavior when they hear the existence of veganism, try to force it out of their mind while their learning disorder cuts off that they thought about it. since no meat eater can actually remember anything, they energetically play 'hot potato' with knowledge that never sinks in. this creates a cult-like obsession with trying to make everybody a meat eater. i believe that ben franklin's note that the vegetable diet led to an 'occasional disconvenience' refers to this activity. when i go to the gym i'm treated like this. i went into a sauna with 2 people, stood in the corner noticing 'they' wanted to try and mess with my head while i sat down. the one in the middle left, and another one came in and stood right in front of me, instead of giving me any space at all. it was a huge sauna. there are ridiculous nuances to how it seems either schizophrenic on my part, or cult-like harassment. it literally is all based on how awful meat is for humans to consume. another point is that meat doesn't even refer to animal muscle. it is derived from the old english word mete meaning food. therefore 'meat' is another way of living in denial. -

Vegan Stereotypes and Mass
awaken375 replied to Aussie Scott's topic in Bodybuilding/Strength Training
in addition to what veganessentials says, it's good remembering that when you eat more food on a vegan diet, you're less likely of hurting yourself in the process. this makes it magical.
