I had this presentation, and I choose to talk about a soymilk machine. During this I talked about how soymilk is healthier for you than cowsmilk and how cowmilk is bad for the enivironment. In this class there where some farmers, whom where kind of offended. So when I gave the opportunity for questions they said something like: What about genetically manipulated soy? Becouse that is bad for you. They where trying to make soymilk look bad, and cow milk look good. But I replied: 1st) That has nothing to do with the soymilk machine I talked about, becouse you can choose which kind of soy beans to put in. 2nd) Most soymilks you buy in the supermarket contain non genetically manipulated soy, and all the genetically manipulated soy in Europe is used to feed to cattle. So now you say genetically manipulated soy is bad, but you are the one feeding it to your pigs and eventually eating it youselfes. So they pretty much had nothing to say anymore after the first thing I said, but I felt like telling some more. Now can anyone tell me what is wrong with genetically manipulated soy? Becouse I can only see the benefits, like it takes less labour to grow it. Also those huge geneticaly manipulated soy fields in Argentina have no bugs flying around. So if you drive next to them you dont get any bugs on your car window. So it seems to save a lot of insect lives.

The new Quentin Tarantino Flick "Hostel"
Gym hater replied to compassionategirl's topic in General Discussion
I like Juliette Lewis better in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. As for Hostel. It isn't that scary, and it's not that gory. Saw is scarier. Hostel is just 35% nudity, 15% conversation, and 50% torture. But you don't get to see any parts that will make you lose your appetite. Also, one advantage of being vegen is being able to watch these kind of movies and not losing my appetite. Becouse if you eat meat, you never know what body part you are eating. As for the vegetarian in the movie, he survives. I am not going to tell the rest becouse that will spoil it. But it has a good part about when someone says its in his nature to eat meat, the vegetarian says its not in his nature to eat meat. -
What vegan meal would most impress a non-vegan?
Gym hater replied to veggymeggy's topic in General Discussion
Noodles might do the trick. With vegetables, of with potatoes. You probably shouldn't use a meat replacement like a soy burger or tofu burger, becouse that will be compared to meat. -
Congratulations with getting on the list, you are now officialy famous:)

Nice cover indeed. But I like Take On Me by Reel Big Fish better. I wish I was at the deep freeze tour. But european tour dates haven't been confirmed yet. Last time RBF and goldfinger toured together Goldfinger didn't come to the Netherlands:( But RBF was nice, and Zebrahead was allright. I only liked playmate of the year.

I saw her in the surreal life, which is also a kind of big brother. She was telling everybody how horrible it was to eat meat and such, but was wearing leather shoes and a suede hat. So I don't think that is really the right way to go.

I need links to websites of Soy Milk machine producers. I need not the small ones, but the big ones used in factories. I need it for a school project. Does anyone know of a company making these big soy milk machines?

In the Netherlands it is freezing. There is a lot of ice, and a lot of accidents happening on the highway. Yesterday a truck containing ethanol crashed, and the ethanol was released:(

Time to bring this thread back to life, again. I just thought of another reason for christians to be vegan. It may have already been posted, but I don't have the time to read 14 pages. And I feel like sharing this philosophic kind of theory. If there are 40.000 kids dying of starvation everyday, and knowing that it takes 12-20 times as much ground to grow food for a vegan, you kill 11-19 people by not being vegan*. Knowing this and still not become vegan makes you just as much of a murderer as someone who shoots someone with a gun. And thou shalt not kill(or something like that). If a meat eating christian says that it is not his intent to let those kids starve and therefore it is not killing, you can reply that if you shoot someone in the head without the intention to kill him/her it is still murder if that person dies(becouse you know he probably will). *Still I have to add that if everyone goes vegan it doesn't automaticaly mean there is no more hunger, it is just when people remain to eat this way there HAS to be starvation in 3rd world countries. 40.000 a day is about 15 million a year, which is about the whole Netherlands.

Happy holidays to everyone here! I am not celebrating christmas, I am going to be in isolation for 4 days and just watch TV and be lazy and eat noodles and eat soy ice cream and stay away from my family. After 4 days I will return to my regular life.

I have two guinny pigs. I posted pics a while back. In the summer they walk around free, and strange enough they always stay within the yard. They never wander of to the neighbours. As for the cat whom ate the baby guiny pigs, I talked to the owner and that cat is kept inside. Although this is a nice sollution, the cat escaped one time and ate the rest of the babies. So I now have to protect any future offspring by staying close. Also, a couple of years ago I had a little bunny shelter. I took care of 7 motherless baby bunnys. They had their eyes closed when I got them, and I fed them a kind of porridge. They all turned out nice and healty, and I set them free in the forrest. One of the saved Bunnies: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a301/gymhater/02.jpg Setting them free: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a301/gymhater/03.jpg Baby mice: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a301/gymhater/04.jpg Skateboarding mouse: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a301/gymhater/05.jpg I also have a picture of one of the baby bunnies, and his/her legs where broken. I think it is to sad to post here, but the bunny almost fully recovered and was the quickest of the nest.

That is terrible. You don't deserve a tragedy like this. It is not fair that this happens to a good, joyfull and giving person like you. It is a shame that your beautiful doughter only got to experience 1 year of your love. May you draw strength from the sympathy shown by your friends here on the message board.
