Vegetarian LION!! AMAZING story that will make you smile
Gym hater replied to compassionategirl's topic in General Discussion
Amazing story. Wish to see it on video sometime. -
I am currently trying to bulk. I am just eating a lot of crips, about 0.44lbs every day. I have now gained 4.4lbs in 2 months, I guess my gains consist of muscle and fat. I am currently measuring my bodyfat percentage with an electric weighing scale, but I don't think that is accurate. It says I am 15% fat, but it also said that when I was lighter. Also you have to tell the weightscale your age, and my fat percentage is different when I put in a different age. So this way of measuring fat isn't completely accurate. Does anyone know of a way to measure fat accurately?

Dude, I wish I had an attitude like that towards working.

Well, then you can also argue that the meat industry does something positive. Instead of focussing on the killing part they do, you can also focus on the part that they are responsible for the birth of a lot of baby animals. If it wasn't for the meat industry a lot of animals wouldn't have gotten the chance to experience life. So most thing have a good and a bad side, but it indeed is easy to say that. And I think it is a great thing you run a doberman shelter. I just am not going to get a dog or a cat.

Sparrow shot for downing domino record bid
Gym hater replied to CrispyQ's topic in General Discussion
Yes, Dutch people suck arse. I am trying to immigrate asap. This incident has been discussed all over dutch television. It even caused remarks like "Sure it is tragic that this sparrow got killed, but think about the millions of innocent animals killed for food". I agree with that, and hope this accident has opened peoples eyes. -
Congratulations on being employee of the month. Keep up the positive attitude.

It is also cruel to let some people murder innocent animals so you can feed it to your cat/dog. So telling people meat is murder but feeding a cat meat is kind of hypcrit(or however that is spelled). So in conclusion: If you are vegan because you want to do everything you can to reduce the suffering of animals, a dog or a cat isn't good. Of course there will be exceptions like rescueing one, and comparable situations, but in general having a dog or a cat is not the right thing to do.

Have a good trip, and compose some nice music. I'll see you on peta2.com soon

Hunters that hunt for killing suck. But hunting for food is a little less bad than buying meat that came from tortured animals. If you hunt the meat you eat has atleast had a happy life. But hunting also shows you have no compassion for animals, but so does buying meat and knowing how it got there.

How did you save them from the street? Did you find a nest of kittens? I nursed an nest of baby rabbits(eyes still closed) whose mother was killed. I nursed until they where old enough and I set them free in the forest.

http://www.naturesrecipe.com/pages/dogproducts/allergy/vegetarian.asp Have they always been eating that? and if no, how did they react to the transition of going to vegetarian dog food?

Can you have a dog/cat or any other carnivor pet and consider yourself vegan? There is vegan dog/cat food available, but hardly anybody uses that. And if you feed your dog/cat regular food it will also have come from the same slaughterhouses "regular" meat(which vegans protest against) comes from. So isn't having a dog/cat suporting the same industry vegans detest? I know some of the vegans here have a dog/cat. What do you feed them?

I'll be in Wisconsin. But I still need to hear from the foreign study agency from my school. Then I need to apply at the university. Then I need to get a VISA. Then I need to get a lot of money. But I guess it will be a pretty good feeling if everything has been taken care of and I am in the plane.

I am in for 2007 in Germany. In 2006 I can't spend any money becouse (maybe) I am going on an exchange program to the USA. But if I am on the exchange program I'll pay a visit to Oregon if that's allright(I need a place to celebrate my first thanksgiving).

Nice, more inspiration. It truly helps to see people with the same lifestyle and be inspired by the results they had.

Some buddhists are vegan becouse they believe in reincarnation. If you believe in reincarnation it makes sense to be vegan, unless you would like to eat a decieced family member.

Changing major - nutrition vs. exercise science
Gym hater replied to veggymeggy's topic in General Discussion
You should probably choose the excercise thing. If that is more enjoyable, it will make you happier, and it will be more easy. The only thing is that you have to ask yourself if you still like the excercise thing when you are older, of if it is just a temporary thing(which I have a lot). -
reality tv show at a farm: DOWNLOAD NOW!!
Gym hater replied to kadett8's topic in General Discussion
I just finished watching it. It seems to me like this is a good advertisement for veganism. The farmer and his wife are working verry hard, but still they are fat and unhappy. And youre little vegan community in austria looks nice. A couple of fit vegans living together, being healthy, trying to help animals, having nice friendships. I wish I lived in such a community. I think it was quite positive for veganism. Although the demos might seem a little extreme towards people that don't really know much about the horrors involved with meat. Also, I speak a little bit german so I could understand most of it. But when the farmer started screaming about you being lazy or something I couldn't understand it anymore. Compliments on sticking up for the animals! -
wow, 8 pages already. And a lot about drinking, drugs and caffeine. Those things aren't even that important. The important thing is respect. If you don't respect your bitch the relationship is going nowhere. Also, I believe everything is okey as long as you don't hurt anyone else while doing it(smoking, being not vegan). Sure alcohol and drugs are bad for you, but so is water(if you drink 6 liters at once). And sure alcohol and drugs are addictive, but so is sleeping.
