My intake was well planned and wonderful in the beginning. Followed by eating anything not tied down, a bag of carrots and a bowl of hummus did not stand a chance!
what helped you with your intake? anything you read?
-
something tells me you need more fat intake
-
anyone here [females obviously] been pregnant?
I'd love to hear a pregnant vegans intake
-
yeah you need to cut the workouts down, way down. 1 hour max.
RELAX, and dont need to be so strict with working out.
are you competing? no? then chill out

Wow!
You looked fine to start with, but now...
Very Sexy!
What ever you are doing is working great.

thanks! underweight is not sexy to me, in the slightest. I could barely even bike minimal distances and that doesnt equal strong, athletic, and sexy to me [especially here on VBB!]
I do light cardio to heavier cardio on the weekends, weight lifting, belly dancing, brisk walking, and now Scooby's workouts for women [they kick my ass hehe!]
seriously just staying active is key.
I use to be over weight, then maybe underweight ect it's hard to gague it all something when you read this or that article.
How much have you gained if you don't mind me asking? You look a lot healthier for the gains.
Here's my progress
I gained probably about, 17 lbs
not sure how much I weighed at the first before photo, but definitely thin.
thank God.

When I 1st gave up meat I also gave up artificial sweeteners leaving me with a limited choice of protein shakes ( I actually run a supp shop that was full of whey shakes with art. sweeteners) although not a vegan at this stage I tried rice, pea & hemp all separately. For some reason it was only the hemp shakes that I actually looked forward to & I have stuck with it ever since. The more I research & experiment with hemp protein, the more I love it.
The UK hemp seems less gritty than some of the imports I have tried although this may not be the case now.
Stevia is going to be allowed here very soon so I expect to see some exciting new hemp products on the market although you cant go wrong with a big tub of raw, cold pressed hemp protein, imo!
Hemp rocks indeed, I'm just looking for a low fat low carb pure protein blend that tastes well. Stevia rocks!

When my schedule is busy I rely on this tiny sandwhich to give me a pretty dense meal.
1 Organic Tortilla (Eziekel Brand Prefferred) - 6g protein.
1 Tofurky Sausage - 26-29g protein
1 Tablespoon Veganaise
1/2 Cup of baby spinach - 1-2g protein
1 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast - 8g protein
1 Small heirloom tomato or 1 Tbsp of crushed tomato's 1g protein
Daiya cheese optional.
41-45g of protein depending on variation.
50g of carbs and 23g of fat (if you skip the Daiya Cheese and use the lowest fat Veganaise the flax and olive oil one).
Enjoy!
23 grams of fat??? damn, I dont think I've never eaten that much fat in one meal.
Lol...you could eat 50g of almonds and get over that much fat.
Or one and half tablespoons of olive oil.
Obviously, I meant I've never made an effort to do so
-
which do you like better & why??

I agree with Jungleinthefrunk and EARNEST. This is a vegan forum and you are clearly not vegan or even state you are aspiring to go vegan. Perhaps you should post your question on a vegetarian or omnivore forum.
this, seriously whut? who comes here posting questions about dairy/meat?

what do yall do?
I'm having Thanksgiving at my in-laws who are non-vegan.
I am bringing my own dish, but still. It's kind of weird for me since they're on a 3 meal schedule, while I am on 6 mini meals.
anywho, hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving regardless!
what's your fav Thanksgiving dish?

every cell uses glucose for energy as i understand it so you need to eat enough energy. my understanding is that very little protein actually gets converted to glucose even though it contains calories and its an energy intensive process anyway... so better to eat either carbs or fat as an energy source... and i lean towards carbs rather than fat because i get far more energy from eating carbs... and ketogenic diets are really bad for you in the long term average american eats equal amounts of fats vs carbs in terms of total calories, and they aren't too healthy, i think better to lower fat consumption to below 20% and increase carb consumption to above 65% the 80/10/10 crew recon should be at least 80% and there are a few bodybuilders amongst them but i recon they're stupid for mostly being marathon runners and whatnot because fat people don't feel attracted to being skinny they want to be big and muscly with low body fat
I dunno, I can't lower it much at all, it makes me foggy, and way too chilly after eating and during the day. And if I up he carbs too much I get a little ravenous and sometimes wake in the middle of the night with a pinching stomach pain, but I haven't figured out if that is from not enough calories during the day? Oi vey the body is a confusing machine.

There's only a pound that separates my before and after photos. Thanks to weight training and a meat-free diet, the body recomposition is significantly different (sorry, but my calipers are lousy...don't have exact stats). Give it a try...but step away from the pink dumbbells! Go play where the boys are.
Thats incredible, love it!!

I certainly never thought about babies bursting into flames, lol. But it's always good to know & hear other mommies insight on the situation.
