  1. HEY! let me know when you want to have the meetup. if you let me know far enough in advance i can go up there. i'm due for a trip back home anyway
  2. i'll be swinging through portland to pick up my boy. we have room for a few more if anyone wants to come back to the resort house on the coast for the final night. the house is beautiful and right on the coast. reply if interested in coming. i'll be leaving portland with lizworld and jamie at 6 o clock on 7/31. see you there
  3. it's gone, gone, gone. like a tumbleweed to the breeze. i got your post farrrrrr too late.
  4. thanks for doing such a good job leading it with ravi and gkleinman. and thanks for the special instructions
  5. i'm working at 5, but i'm on my way to proper eats right now.
  6. catchphrase and scattergories are fun too
  7. vegetarian is spelled wrong on the bottom of the flyer
  8. if only i would have known about people's earlier, i totally would've gone. i plan to make it to the 'razer tomorrow.
  9. thanks, robert. i must have missed that somehow. i was just starting to get nervous because it's just a few days away and i didn't have any arrangements made.
  10. is there an empty seat in anyone's car for a little tofu tod?
  11. should i be making arrangements for the ride situation? i'm gonna need one to get to the coast, if that's possible.
  12. hmmm maybe we make it a bathing suit / underpants foam noodle fighting tournament.
  13. it's all about taste, brotha man. i'm a pabst fan through and through. but i'm also not into sophisticated beers. if you're looking for a complete list, check here http://tastebetter.com/features/booze also. check out bridgeport's haymaker. it's incredible.
  14. so we won't give the minors alcohol, and there shouldn't be a problem. if you want, i would even go as far as to say that if it truly makes people uncomfortable to the point where they will avoid people while they are consuming beverages, the people drinking can remain outside of the house. i guess everyone should just be their own judge. especially with the number of people on this forum who obviously won't be drinking at the house, there won't be any problem with a friendly beer or two. if this was a raging alcoholic forum, i think the circumstances might be different, but this is just mature folk who can drink a small amount to relax and enjoy themselves. i don't think after 8 pages of this thread, anything new is going to arise. the poll shows that people want to drink alcohol. nobody's forcing it on anyone else. we'll just have a drink and be merry.
  15. those all sound fun. i want to be busy, but vacationy at the same time. keep me posted, potter
  16. are these people unaware of their inability to control themselves when drunk? how many people under the age of 21 are going to be at the beach house? i don't think people who don't know how to limit themselves or will be drunken assholes are going to actively seek out alcohol. and i don't think anyone is planning on having a full bar, so i doubt the likelihood of anyone even being ABLE to get drunk
  17. i would personally like to see more events on here, because i really don't need much time to explore portland, and there are couple other pdxers that probably feel the same way. also if you did want to have more events, attendance isn't necessary, people could choose to opt out of certain activities to make time for personal exploration. then they wouldn't be missing anything major from the current itinerary, but it would also give localers, and those not interested in exploring some more group time. and everyone knows group time = fun time.
  18. i don't expect vegan vacation to turn into a frat kegger if a case or two of beer is brought. i also don't think that VV goers are going with the intent of getting drunk and wreaking havoc on the house. i think that everyone at this party should be able to drink whatever they want, be it wine, beer, choco soy, wheat grass juice, or protein shakes. not to downplay people's isssues with alcohol, but my question is how is having alcohol at vegan vacation different from having alcohol at any other social gathering? because it has a higher straight edge population? we're all responisble adults here, and by now, should know our limits with alcohol. i think that those who want a frosty malt beverage should be entitled to it. it is vacation after all.
  19. absolutely. but nothing like that POS i was riding last year. that thing was messed up. now i have a white peugeot. she's a beaut. she even went on her first naked bike ride this year
  20. yeah, i went to the yoga on mt tabor, and i also made it to the party at the house with the mangosteen guy. and i went on the tour of vegan hot spots.
  21. you might remember me when you see me. i remember you. but then again, i was kind of a pick in the fro that was vegan vacation last year. i was more like a cameo.
  22. i'll try to be more present on the forums. i can't wait for VV. mmmmm.... i've even started working out, so i'm not the only scrawny guy there.
  23. i'm gay, vegan, and i like beer.
