  1. I have never liked the flavor of honey, so I have never eaten it. I don't really have any problems with others eating honey though, but I just don't like the flavor of it.
  2. Thanks for your warm welcome runner! I have also heard of the McSpotlight site, although had never been there until now. Thanks for the link!
  3. Thanks! I need all the help I can get. I wish that I had a fitness buddy around here that I could do exercises with. My fiance isn't exactly much into exercise, nor does he have to be. He can eat whatever he wants and he'll always be 130 pounds without an ounce of fat on him. Lucky man. *LOL* But he too has a desire to gain muscle mass and be a buff hottie. We are fortunate that our apartment complex is in the process of putting a weight room in. They are also remodeling our indoor heated pool area and all of this will be done by August 1, which will be so cool! Since I can't afford a gym membership, having one at home like this will be awesome.
  4. I haven't seen it, but I want to. It looks interesting.
  5. She is in fantastic shape but she seems a little flakey in her videos. I have been using her "Blast Away The Pounds" walking DVD (yes, I am a beginner) for a little while and although it's an easy way to walk a mile or two she's just a little goofy in her workouts. They are working fine for me right now, but I know that won't last forever.
  6. Quite frankly, I am tired of being fat. So I've decided to buckle down and do something about it. So, can anyone recommend a good way for a beginner to get started? Mind you, I am about 100 pounds overweight so I have a LOT to lose and a long journey ahead of me. Thanks!
  7. Thanks for your kind reply! I am really looking forward to delving into the depths of this forum and learning all I can, not to mention getting to know some cool folks in the process.
  8. Hi and welcome! I am new here as well.
  9. Hello folks. I am Courtney, a new member to the boards! I got invited by Robert, who I ran into on another vegan message board. Only 4 days ago I made the decision to change my lifestyle and go vegan. I am an assistant manager at a Mcdonald's here in Fargo and I was curious about a book I had heard about called "Fast Food Nation." So I bought the book to read it. Well what I read not only turned me off of fast food, but off from meat products in general. Even the one time I tried to eat meat after reading it, I vomited. I just can't do it anymore! So, I decided to become vegan. Not only will being vegan make the nevironment a better place for both humans and animals alike, but it will make me become a healthier person and aid me in my weight loss and fitness journey. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! Courtney
