  1. Hi Derick! First of all, welcome! And I've always wanted to visit Nova Scotia, simply because I love the sound of it! Sounds like you've already gotten some great advice, and as was already mentioned, all anyone has to do is take a gander at this website (both the forum and the main website) to know that what you've been told about not being able to gain muscle on a vegan/plant-based diet is a bunch of bull malarkey. Just know that their claims are wrong and completely unfounded, even though I know how frustrating that can be to be confronted with that all the time. Stick to your guns, Derick, confident that you're doing the best thing for your body... not to mention the planet! Welcome aboard! All the best, Karen
  2. Wow, it's so cool that you're inspiring so many changes in your dad! Awesome! And congratulations on your amazing road miles #! Keep up the great work on all fronts!
  3. Hey there, Bode. I'm wondering if the B-12 shot helped your symptoms with the numbness and tingling?
  4. Hey Portia! Glad to see things are going well and you're feeling great about your progress! Nice photos!! You mentioned you eat the same thing day in, day out. Maybe you've posted about it previously and I just didn't read it, but what is it that you eat every day? I'm curious. Hope all's well in your neck of the woods! All the best, Karen
  5. Hi Sara! How are things going for you? I notice you haven't posted in a while and that you were sick last time you did. Hope things are great and that you're feeling back to normal. I've not been on the forum much lately either, as I've had a crazy busy life the past few weeks. But, hope to get back into my previous routine sooooooon! Before the January challenge started, I never in a million years would have said that I actually miss having a regular exercise routine... and posting in the forum, too! But, I guess it changed my life! Hope you're doing GREAT! All the best, Karen
  6. You're rockin' it, Kelly!! What kind of progress/results have you seen lately? And can you tell me about your collard green tempeh tacos? Sounds delish!
  7. Hi Lisa! Congratulations on your bikini-clad bod! You go, girl! And a very Happy Anniversary to you and your husband! You are amazing and my new heroine!!!!
  8. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you, Colin! Way to keep after it and go for it! You have every reason to be proud of yourself and feel AMAZING! So, I'm just curious... how many gels did you have to carry with you? Awesome! Do you plan to do another one?
  9. Hey Kelly! I've been off the forum lately (lots of stuff going on), but I knew I could count on YOU to keep at it! You're amazing in your consistency. You rock! Isn't John Salley the best?!?!?! I met him last year, too, while on the vegan cruise. Love his sense of humor! Have a great day!
  10. Hey Kane! Congratulations again on winning the essay contest! You rocked it! Hope you're still feeling like "king of the world"!
  11. Hope you're feeling better by now, Sherrie. Tell me, what type of recipes are you/have you been trying?
  12. Lisa, you're so amazing. I've been off the forum for a while, but knew I could count on you to have stayed consistent through and through! Kudos to you for backing off the daily weigh-ins. You're right, that it can be far too frustrating and obsessive. And, yes, you should get a No Meat Athlete shirt! They have both the cotton and athletic/polyester types and in different colors. They're super great people, too! I'll be back in my own place again soon and am anxious to try the HH eggless salad, based on your previous recommendation! Keep up the stellar work, my friend!
  13. Awesome! Congratulations on your success - even if it is by accident! My workouts have been sporadic lately, as well. Boo. Anhow, good luck with everything! And congrats to your sister, too!
  14. Hey Greg! Great job tracking all your exercises! That's definitely more helpful in getting where you want to go! Keep up the great work!
  15. Hey there, Mina! Hope things are going well, since you were feeling so motivated last week. I understand how easy it is to feel overwhelmed, but glad you caught a second wind after your break. Are you still jogging? Take care! - Karen
