  1. wow I have not posted in awhile! Still powering on plant strong though! workuts are good food is good. I am the leanest I have ever been so im pumped about that and i am getting stronger. Breakthrough yesterday on chest day. I was able to flat bench the 40lb dumbells for 3 sets of 11 reps after being stuck at 8-9 every week. I also did a set of the flat bench with a reverse grip for 10 reps. small things like this keep me going just when I think I have hit a wall. I think that keeping up my regimen of getting at least 100 pushups a dy has really helped my upper body all around. still eating prob 80% raw foods, doing a bit of cooked quinoa,sweet potatoes and steamed vegetables in the evenings since its about 15 degreees here daily. Still doing massive amounts of fruits and greens everyday. We go through so much produce its crazy I cant wait until summer when we can grow our own and not rely so much on buying everything. Even the local co op is not exactly cheap. its all organic and great but not always the best deals. todays food Breakfast---grapefruit/papaya smoothie with orange/carrot juice/ginger 2 clementines Postworkout-growing naturals pea protein/2 bananas/mango/almond milk Lunch- Quinoa sweet potato bowl with giant salad snack- green smoothie with apples/kiwi/celery/ginger Dinner-steamed beets/broccoli with giant mixed greens salad. salsa and nutritional yeast on top workout---cycling on indoor trainer, rowing machine and 1 HR circuit full body workout. today is a conditioning day tomorrow is back and shoulders
  2. Had a really great back and shoulders workout today. Lifting has been going good feeling very strong. working hard on progressing in 2 areas....pullups, and inverted pushups. trying my best to work on those things a few times each week. todays fuel breakfast- smoothie of grapes/fresh cranberries/acai blueberry juice/spinach/banana snack smoothie of pineapple/giner/orange with a small whole grapefruit on the side postworkout banana ice cream with strawberries and raw protein blended in Lunch-red quinoa power bowl with sweet potato cubes,quinoa,mango,red pepper,cilantro,cumin,balsamic vin,lemon juice and diced florida avocado afternoon snack- apple and green smoothie Dinner- I made some "cabbage steaks" to put on the dehydrator. sliced cabbage into discs and marinated in blend of liquid aminos/lem juice/parsely/sun dried tomatoes/fresh tomato. warmed up and topped with nutritional yeast snack-raspberries and scoop protein. sun warrior choc pudding Giant mixed greens salad

Training was very strong this week. had a rest day on Friday and then saturday I focused on Biceps/triceps with some circuit work. sunday I did 50 min easy cycling and then messed around with the bosu ball, swiss ball with some new core excercises. then 100 pushups. I have been doing between 100-200 pushups everyday for the last 2 months...its a fun little challenge. I just break them up into 10-15 at a time meals today looked like this breakfast banana ice cream...frozen bananas blended with frozen cherries and a scoop of spiruteen antioxidant blend and almond milk morning snack orange passion fruit Lunch Homemade raw butternut squash soup with giant salad and some of homemade curried dried apple rings afternoon snack green smoothie made with pears/banana/spinach and scoop of amazing grass pumpkin spice (limited edition seasonal!!!!!!!!!) awesome dinner Nut meat tacos!! With cashew cheeze! definitely my fave 2 romaine taco wraps and a large romaine salad with broc/radish/cucumber/celery/peppers/salasa/nutritional yeast evening snack scoop growing naturals tea raspberries
  4. Really good leg workout today. I wore a 25lb weight vest for most of it. Made it pretty challenging but I feel like I did pretty good! Meals today Breakfast Green tea 2 persimmons blended with 2 dates. 1 whole pear postworkout banana ice cream with 1 scoop choc sun warrior/spinach/almond milk Lunch 1/2 ezekial tortilla filled with mexican sweet potato mix large mixed greens salad with tons of veggies Afternoon 1 plum green smoothie with apples/grapes/spinach/celery/frozen peaches/strawberries/amazing grass berry powder Dinner Raw cream of mushroom soup with Giant salad similar to lunch Evening snack scoop growing naturals with raspberries/banana Tea
  5. Just had a great chest workout. Finally feeling comfortable with chest presses with the 40lb dumbells, did a lot of different chest stuff with bands,bells,bars,pushup variations. did an hour of easy cycling as well Todays eats: Morning- roasted dandelion tea Pineapple blended with a few raspberries few hours later green smoothie with apples/date/ginger/parsely/celery post workout-banana ice cram with choc sunwarrior/spinach and some diced papaya few pieces of dried jackfruit Lunch-mega green salad with broc/cel/tomato/cucumber...dressing avocado/orange/basil blended afternoon snack- persimmons Dinner-shredded sweet potato mexican mix wrapped in ezekial tortilla Monday night football snack-vanilla protein pudding with raspberries and lemon tea Go seahawks!!!!!!!!! I'm doing a small group personal training session this evening and we are doing a halloween themed bodyweight circuit of 10 reps for 10 rounds of various things so I may be piling on a bit more food in the late afternoon. maybe another green smoothie
  6. Training has been great the past few months. Since last year at this time I have dropped 12lbs and 3% body fat. Things started happening when I incorporated way more raw foods in my diet around January. I did a lot of raw stuff before but I really wanted to try 100% so I'm feeling good and my workouts are fantastic. Strength has been amazing and Im lifting more than lest year at this time as well. Solid week of training this week. Today I worked on Biceps/Triceps, My off day has been falling on Fridays lately so I was very fresh today. Meals looked like this today Breakfast smoothie blend of 2 florida navel oranges, 1 grapefuit,mint mid morning Pear,apple,date (preworkout) Post workout banana ice cream made in vitamix 4 bananas,chocolate sunwarrior protein,spinach,unsweetened vanilla almond milk Lunch mixed babay lettuces,green pepper and a mixture of "cauliflower couscous and shredded zuchinni" the sauce was made of dates,oranges,ginger,cumin,lemon juice,tahini. I also threw on some tomatoes and celery. afternoon snack apples and green chia kombucha Dinner giant salad with a shreded sweet potato thing I made....so you shred a raw sweet potato then I made a sauce of tomatoes,peppers,cilantro,cumin,smoked paprika,lemon juice,jalapeno, a little Apple cider vinegar. Mixed it up and threw it on top of lots of greens with some chopped broccoli and a little diced avocado,nutritional yeast. Good stuff evening snack scoop of growing naturals raw protein with almond milk...protein pudding. topped with diced banana

  8. sooo sorry!! I am still here training and eating I will definitely post some updates this week. I also want to change my profile pic but its been so long I cant remember how to do it but I have made some solid gains in the gym!

  12. I have always enjoyed checking out the look whos vegan area. It gives me continued motivation to push harder in my workouts and stay on course with my nutrition http://www.veganbodybuilding.com/?page=bios I love reading the bios and it has people from all athletic backgrounds so theres someone there for everyone to look up to. I also use that area as refrence for people who think that eating plant based cannot build muscle or the protein myth etc.
  13. I agree with everything said as I have also sampled the arbonne from a friend who sells it, i thought it tasted good. Honestly if your going to buy vegan protein for the price you can get just as good if not better from other companies like vega,plant fusion,growing naturals,garden of life. I just think the arbonne is too expensive for what it is. its good to see them offer a vegan product though i was impressed that it had no artificial garbage in it thats always a bonus

WED back and shoulders day! yay 1 one of my faves workout consisted of dumbell clean/press using 30 and 40 lb dumbell arnold presses with 20lb,25lb,30lb bells dumbell fwd raises with 15,20lb bells lat band pulldowns burpee/pushup to clean press with 50lb barbell chinups 4 sets of 4 bodyweight rows using equalizer meals today 1/2 scoop plantfusion with luna fiber bar pre workout postworkout shake choc protein/cherries/raw cacao coconut oil/hemp hearts/almond milk/spinach side of sliced banan with cinnamon and some fresh papaya green tea with ginger lunch giant salad with tons of veggies raw sweet potato pasta with miso/hummus sauce/green onions/red peppers 1/2 green kombucha snack carrot juice with/orange/ginger/wheat grass powder/cucumber i made these mini pies with a walnut crust and inside is blueberry,strawberry,chlorella,almond milk,raw cacao nibs , a little choc protein, unsweetened coconut all in the food processor dinner califlower curry coconut wraps with giant salad like at lunch scoop protein with PB2 tea

Training is going well just finished a killer leg session. lots of plyometrics today and mini circuits of leg stuff with some core excercises sprinkled in. box jumps,medicine ball wall tosses, 1 legged burpees,split squat jumps,speed squats,speed skater jumps were some of the things I did. Just got back from a weekend in Tornto, had the best time! I researched a few vegan restaurants before we went and we went to 3 of them and they were all fantastic! one of them was called "fresh" I highly reccomend this if your in the area, lots of great options. My husband is an omnivore but will pretty much eat anything and he said it was the best vegan chicken sandwich he has ever had and ranks it higher than most meat based things he has ever had. so they have really helthy options as well as vegan comfort food. something for everyone todays meals vega tropical smoothie with pineapple,kiwi,thai coconut water,cara cara orange,kale,unsweetened shredded coconut carrot juice mix with garlic,celery,kale,lemon,ginger lydias sprouted cereal with unsweetened almond milk chia seed pudding with choc protein 1/2 grpefruit,a few mixed berries giant mix greens salad red cabbage,tomato,cucumber,celery,mushroom,rainbow slaw,broccoli,yellow pepper,fresh dill,jicama,dulse,raw sunflower seeds,savi seeds,carrots lentil soup with garbanzo beans vega one bar multi green kombucha green apple giant salad like the one from lunch i made a mixture with thai coconut meat,raw cauliflower,curry powder,mustard all in food processor and then added some chopped peppers,green onions and wrap it in a collard leaf with some sprouts so its like a curry coconut wrap scoop protein tea

  17. Todays workout was at 630am...45 min bike ride then I did an insanity dvd. I like to do a dvd every once in awhile for fun. I did the max interval plyo since it was a leg day. It was fun,challenging.   18. great news!!! Today I worked chest/tri.....early morning workout at 630 am. Felt really good after the rest day on Sunday. Did the workout mostly super set style and did active cardio things in between. Then did a nice bike ride after for 50 min todays food preworkout mix from all pro science mixed with vega mango tango...deeelish.   20. Thanks! Yes I somehow got out of journaling for a bit there but still working very hard weight training 5x week and 1 day of just recovery cardio and maybe a yoga day on sunday. I also journal my workouts in a book and my food on myfitnesspal.com so im constantly workin at everything. its really fun too keep up with and see changes, i consider myself always "under construction" haha!

  22. friday!!!! Today was biceps/triceps Got up at 630 am and hammered it out. did a few drop sets,mostly used dumbells today with a few body weight excercises and a few bands. Great workout! food today: all pro science pre workout drink postworkout shake growing naturals vanilla/spinach/1/2 banana/a few pieces of pineapple 1/2 peach/tbsp hemp hearts tea green protein chlorella ball 1 small plum 1/2 peach 1/2 raw bar 1/2 kombucha large green salad 2 collard wrap sunflower meat burritos small bowl of raw asparagus soup aisan greens salad bok choy/red cabbage/carrots/enoki mushroom/arrugula/dehydrated cauliflower with flax meal coating/homemade asian dressing 1/2 kombucha going to a healthy movie night tonight! basically we are watching the documentary "food inc" and indulging in some healthy snacks! looking fwd to it I made a avocado/edamame/parsley dip with veggies I know that other things on the menu include kale chips,homemade herb crackers, vegan ginger pear protein balls. should be a great time. not everyone there is vegan in fact most are not but hopefully some of these plant based snacks can turn people on to thinking more this way. Tomorrow is easy cardio day and sunday is rest day. back to hittin the weights on monday morning

Had a great back/shoulders workout today. did an hour of cardio on the bike, feeling good feeling strong. tomorrow is time to do some hamstrings and glutes. yesterday was a bit of plometric work followed up with p90x 2 ab ripper meals today amazing meal pomegranate infusion 1/2 banana almond milk fresh papaya green tea green protein ball made with walnuts,dates,coconut,chlorella 1/2 banana wrapped in swiss chard kiwi giant greens salad with kale chips lentil mix with tempeh,leeks,mushrooms,kale kombucha amazing grass wheat grass mixed with carrot juice chia pudding made with raw protein,berries sunflower nut meat mix wrapped in collard greens with cashew cheese giant mixed green salad with arrugula,baby romaine protein pudding
