  1. Wandy!!!! He should be giving a nice beatdown to a few people. http://youtube.com/watch?v=a1HVJdOkveU
  2. well since i dont have cable to watch this ill be looking to you ronnie to keep me updated!
  3. Im gonna have to go with Muay Thai. Very powerful and effective yet the moves are quite basic. Plus those guys are F-N tough!
  4. I was so stoked when I saw his name on the fighter list! Cause that in turn means he will be a UFC fighter after the show. Assuming he does good which I have no doubt in my mind. I just hope he gets on team Hughes. Im still a little bitter about Serra KOing GSP.
  5. Oh totally go for it! Boxing is a very good choice AND very effective. Most truly rounded MMA fighters will train boxing, muay thai, bjj, and wrestling. I dunno if youre into MMA but if you watch Randy Couture (whos 44yrs old by the way) VS Tim Sylvia (whos 31 yrs old AND 6'8") youll see an old man completely destroy his opponent with his boxing skills. The funny thing is Randy Couture is known as a wrestler. Anyways boxing would most def be a good choice.
  6. Well it looks like this topic started out strong but people faded out towards the end. Anyways Ive decided after a bit more research im going to try out the 30 day RAW diet. So once I actually start ill be back in to tell how things are going!
  7. Did you hear Gonzaga broke Randys arm with that high kick that Randy blocked with his left arm? I guess Randy didnt even know it was broken for a few days. http://www.cagetoday.com/ufc-news-randy-couture-breaks-his-arm-at-ufc-74/ According to the fightnetwork, UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy “The Natural” Couture suffered a fracture on his left forearm during the fight with Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 74. The small fracture is called a Nightstick Fracture, because their is no displacement in the bone, a cast will not be required. The doctors are telling Couture that the fracture will reattach itself in about one and a half weeks. “Randy Couture was informed Sunday by doctors that he’d broken his arm during his third round TKO stoppage of Gabriel Gonzaga. Couture sustained the injury Saturday blocking a Gonzaga right high kick with his left forearm, cleanly separating the ulna bone…. The injury placed the UFC heavyweight champion’s arm in a splint for six weeks. The appendage will not need a cast.” “It’s not displaced, so the doctors think it will reattach in about a week and a half,” said Couture, who embarks on a South African adventure to shoot a leading role in major motion picture “The Scorpion King – The Akkadian” Topics: News, UFC | Also because of Babalu's refusal to let go of that choke he has now been officially let go from his contract with the UFC. IMO complete bullshit. Embroiled in controversy after refusing to relinquish a choke that rendered David Heath (Pictures) unconscious last Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, light heavyweight Renato "Babalu" Sobral (Pictures) was released from his UFC contract, the organization's chief Dana White confirmed during a conference call with media Thursday. In the second round of a bloody fight, "Babalu" elicited a tap after applying an anaconda choke against the weakened fighter from Tulsa, Okla. Yet the 31-year-old Brazilian, who one year ago suffered an early first-round knockout loss in a title challenge against then-champion Chuck Liddell (Pictures), refused to acknowledge referee Steve Mazzagatti's repeated efforts to separate the pair. "He blew it," White said. Though the arena wasn't more than half-full at the time of the preliminary fight, boos cascaded throughout the building, first for Mazzagatti's decision to allow Heath (7-2) to continue despite taking repeated shots to the head while covered in his own blood, and second for Sobral's antics immediately after the fight, when the veteran told UFC's Joe Rogan he intentionally held onto the choke because Heath, also 31, called him a "motherf---er" at Friday's weigh-in. "I think you saw the response from the fans," White said. "'Babalu' was a fan favorite. They turned on him immediately." Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer immediately withheld $25,000 from "Babalu" -- the win portion of his $50,000 purse. Kizer met backstage with Sobral (28-7) and his manager to discuss the incident, at which time the NSAC executive director recalled the fighter saying, "I'm taught even if you feel the fighter tap, you don't release," a far different tune than the one he sang in the cage. According to Kizer, Sobral also suggested he didn't want Heath to "'Matt Lindland (Pictures)' me with a false tap," alluding to Lindland's UFC middleweight championship bout in 2002 against Murilo Bustamante (Pictures) when the wrestler appeared to tap because of an armbar. The fight continued after Lindland denied quitting. "I think if he had an arm, or a knee or an ankle, I think he should never fight in this sport ever again," the UFC president said. Sobral's immediate future outside the UFC will be determined Friday, when the NSAC convenes for a hearing in Las Vegas at which time the issue of the now free-agent fighter's refusal to comply with Mazzagatti will be heard. "Egregiousness" of the infraction and "referee involvement" were determining factors in Kizer's decision to put the issue before the commission, the executive director told Sherdog.com. Sobral and his camp have declined to comment about the incident, saying they'd prefer to address the issue in front of the commission.
  8. Well GSP def made Koscheck his woman. He outwrestled him by far. IMO GSP won all three rounds though the first round was very close. Kos had just about nothing in return for GSP. Maybe he'll work on his ground game a bit eh? I dunno if since Gonzaga broke his nose is the reason Randy kick his ass so mercilisly but Gonzaga looked like a complete amateur compared to the "Natural." Im very happy with the outcome of this UFC. Did anybody else expect Cote to knock out Grove? I sure didnt! For anybody that missed it http://www.mmalinker.com/ Just click on the fighter that you want to see and theres a list of his fights. Granted some of them dont work but if your timing is right youll find the fight youre looking for.
  9. Well I can only imgaine. I bet its a blasty blast!
  10. I havent been. But that is the plan for my next bday! Cant wait to try it.
  11. When I had heard who crocop was fighting i think my exact words were "man why dont the give him someone good and stop feeding him these crap fighters." I take that back now. Gonzaga looked awesome throughout the whole fight. I was really impressed. IMO he has what it takes to be champ. We'll see how he does against Randy. The Bisping/Sinosic was a really good fight also. Bisping did really well. I was scared for a minute there when Elvis hit him with that knee, locked on that kimura, then took his back. But Bisping pulled it out and weathered the storm which really impressed me. I cant wait to see him fight some more. I thought the Arlovski/Werdum fight was good in the first round but the second and third slowed way down and made it a little boring. Arlovski could have ended that fight but I dont think he wanted to chance being on the ground with Werdum. Considering hes a BJJ phenom. What was with those open hand slaps Werdum was using?? Weird game plan if you ask me.
  12. WOW! Just wow. Those fights were amazing. I suppose I wont say anymore until the encore tonight.
  13. GSP will come back. No doubt in my mind. He is the true champ, he just had a bad night.
  14. Rewatching that fight depresses me so much. After it happened I was completely stunned. I couldnt believe it. On a side note I dislike Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg more and more each time i have to listen to them. Before Matt Serra won the title Joe Rogan was saying theres no way Matt Serra will win this fight. He had absolutely no doubt in his mind GSP was gonna win it. Then when it was all over and done with, when they do theyre little recap speech, Joe Rogan says I think Matt Serra will hold the title for a long time. What a dumbass.
  15. http://mmafever.blogspot.com/2007/02/dan-henderson-vs-wanderlei-silva-pride.html Heres the Silva/Henderson 2 fight. Beautiful knockout. This fight really could have gone either way. It was pretty even, with Henderson with a slight edge for the takedowns, till that last punch.
  16. Could the UFC actually be buying PRIDE? Well according to this article they are. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/news/story?id=2814235 We'll see I guess. If this happens i want to see Chuck Liddel and Wanderlei Silva fight. THAT is what i wanna see.
  17. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Randy+couture+vs+tim+sylvia+video&btnG=Search heres a list of Randy Couture vs Tim Sylvia videos. A couple of them are whole fights and a few of them are just single round. Anyways theres a list for ya.
  18. He is a pretty big 155 lber. Plus hes got good Jitz skills. Any idea why Gomi had his hands by his waist? Im not sure if that was just cockyness or if thats just his style.
  19. Yea but Nick Diaz? I didnt see a chance. Bj Penn is a top fighter. I never saw Diaz as a champ.
  20. Its not like he got lucky too. He was trading with Gomi and doing really well. I didnt expect that at all.
  21. Gomi vs Nick Diaz. Seriously an amazing fight. http://mmafever.blogspot.com/2007/02/nick-diaz-vs-takanori-gomi-pride-33.html
  22. Rich Franklin vs Jason Macdonald http://www.flicklife.com/view_video.php?viewkey=f5b35194cb46c1653efa
  23. I bet its worth it though. I think i would hash out that much just to experience one live. Front row would be ideal.
