  1. Im really digging Sinking Ships right now. holy shit, so good.
  2. This is seriously amazing. I have a couple (non-vegan) friends making their own bars and I have grown envious of them over the past couple months. I will be trying these for sure this week! I wonder what the protein content would be like without the powder?
  3. Signed. I think it's fun to see the different titles, and encouraging to stay active.
  4. Welcome, that is an amazing story about living in Thailand! I plan on starting Muay Thai in my local gym soon, and seriously can't wait. I went to a couple classes last year before my hockey injury and enjoyed it thoroughly.
  5. That is such a bummer. As a DIE-HARD Bruins fan, I can totally relate. Although i live in Canada, Black out restrictions still effect me from watching games I want to to watch sometimes. I am really interested to see if that site works for NHL GameCentre!
  6. Welcome! Very nice story, and I look forward to reading about your progress. Converting to a vegan diet is a lot easier than you might think. Once your body cleanses itself of the hormones and fat in dairy, the cravings disappear! For me at least! Good luck on your journey!
  7. Is the NO that is supposedly derived from dark leafy greans and oatmeal absorbed the same as the NO Xplode?
  8. That's awesome, congrats!! I'm being selfish by talking about my personal experience, but it may help to motivate you! So on chest/back day, I superset Bench press with close grip pullups even though it calls for Wide Grip Behind-The-Neck pullups. I was never able to do these so I opted for the close grip. Anywayssss, yesterday I did my 5 supersets, and did 5 reps of the wide grip behind the neck each time! Proof that you will get there, just stick with it!!
  9. I am going to assume this is spam, does anyone have any experience using this product ?
  10. I agree, it's so hard to make this kind of decision for our little loved ones. I have read so many views on both sides of the spectrum and everybody is talking like their answer is the right answer. It's extremely stressful !
  11. Just did 25 to be greedy and hit the thousand mark ! 82975+25= 83,000 !!!
  12. Good luck! I am really interested to hear about your progress as im sure the others here are as well, so please keep us updated !
  13. haha it is so easy to mess something like this up. Last summer I picked up a Gatorade for hockey, but after taking a few sips and noticing how heavy it tasted, I checked the ingredients. Freaking Whey, in Gatorade...
  14. Let me know how it goes for you! It is part of a 3-day split done twice a week from one of Arnold's books. If you are interested in this style of high sets / supersets , I can give you the full workout!
  15. Yep start of the workout is best and I would personally be suggesting to try your maxes maybe every 3-4 weeks rather than 2-3. They are pretty taxing on your CNS as well as the rest of your body Good to know, and yeah that sounds good. Once a month is much better! Thanks!
  16. Yeah there are different sects of it for sure. I have met some militant straight edge folk who spend their time at hardcore/punk shows starting fights with anyone drinking/smoking. I DEFINITELY do not identify with those people. There are also some amazing people who do a lot of good for the community in terms of drug/alcohol awareness. I noticed the past few years more and more that it is a good outlet for kids who don't identify with the jocks/preps/nerds/etc. and dont really have a group to fall back on.
  17. Thanks dude! I was training last year for a couple months, but due to a hockey injury I had to stop. I started back up on November 15th, and have been going hard ever since. I also decided to hang up the skates for a bit, so to lower the risk of injury. I am loving every second in the gym!
  18. Although not straight edge, I don't consume alcohol or drugs or smoke either. Most of my best friends in the world are straigh edge, so I live the lifestyle and grew up loving the music, I just never wanted to attach the title to it. On that note; maybe it's too soon to start dropping my favorite posi core SxE bands? xCHAMPIONx With Honor Bane All on repeat at the gym daily.

  20. Well it's why I put the words in " " because A) something had to die for it and B) They aren't totally free. But it works on the same principle as "free range" or "cruelty free" meat that you.. well not you but someone may find in a butcher. You can shop around to try and find non battery, free range, non corn fed animal foods for your dog, be prepared to pay the price for them though. The other option is going to a butcher and making your own dog food from meat and vegetables. Yea I know the above statement kinda goes against what we do but as my original post says, some animals just eat meat and that's the way it is. Cool, I totally understand what you are saying. It is a constant moral dilemma because it does go against everything I stand for, but at the same time it's not my dogs fault that he was born. I already feed him a high quality non grain fed food, but that just covers up the guilt. It will always be there until I can teach him to go out and hunt his own food (which isn't likely because I live in the city haha )
  21. Good information from both of you. I think I will continue to avoid purchasing it, but may be more open to consuming it as a byproduct if it is the only ingredient keeping it from being vegan. I am interested to read more opinions / facts on the subject !
  22. That's the way I initially looked at it as well, and for the longest time I told myself that it was okay to eat it. In all my years of veganism I have never purchased honey or looked for something with honey, but if it was a bi-product in something and the only thing keeping it from being vegan, I would eat it. But then a few years ago, I was told that the bees kept in these farms actually have no positive impact on the global bee population, as they are completely dependent on these farms. Not to mention the amount of death involved in keeping these farms active. Do you have any literature on this, as I am definitely interested in reading something from that side of it.
  23. Mythil: what do you mean by "Cruelty Free" dog food that consists of animal products? I am not arguing whether or not a dog can optimally survive on a vegan diet, and you definitely seem to know what you are talking about but those two don't go hand in hand.
  24. Again, those are just things that worked for me. I am not a personal trainer, and I am still fairly new to bodybuilding. But I have been working out 6 days a week, and have been seeing some serious gains. Good luck!!!
