  1. It is smolov, It's the three week program though. I ran the full program last summer and jumped up 40 lbs on my squat. So I'm seeing how it goes on my bench and squat this time. I always find it helps my confidence on that movement because you do it so much with heavy weight, you consistently go in knowing what you have to do.
  2. January 12, 2014 Squats Worked up to 285 for 7 sets of 5. Did a depth check and it turns out I'm quicker coming up when I hit ATG.
  3. January 11, 2014 Bench Worked up to 195 for ten sets of 3. All felt awesome. Very happy.
  4. Just do what you can for now. It's good that you're resting at the moment and pilates is a good way to stay active. I think you're figure looks amazing, personal preference.
  5. January 10, 2014 Worked up to 275x6x6 on squats. Felt good. I think one of them on my third set I lost the tightness in my left hip and I dipped way below my comfort level in depth and brought it back up. But that through me off a little bit.
  6. Bench Day January 9, 2014 Worked up to 185 for eight sets of 4. Threw some wrist wraps on to see how they'd feel and was happy with them. Good day

January 8, 2014 Squats barxa million, 95x10, 135x10, 185xx8, 225x3, 275x3, 315x3 (Too heavy, form was off, too far forward, wasn't tight), brought the weight down to 300 and did the rest of the nine sets of triples. Felt good. Solid depth, ass to grass. Currently eating a PB and banana sandwich and a shake. Cool

  10. January 7, 2014 Bench Barx20, 95x15, 135x8, 165x7x5. Felt pretty good. Did probably 4 sets of purely paused benching. Good session
  11. It's been a while. I'm working with smolov Jr on both my Squat and bench since those are my weakest lifts. Alternating each on off days to keep myself rested. I'm also working my way into the sub 198 class. There's only a 20 kg difference between the class qualifying totals and it makes more sense to put on some muscle and see if I can get some more weight throwing around. Finished up my squats with 290 for 8 sets of 4. Last set was a triple. Didn't want to staple myself.
  12. Honestly, I think I could hit 515 with some force. I was just happy with the 500 again. I have a mock meet coming up that I'll post the lifts for. I hit 255x8 on squats today. and then 135x50 for oly squats. Good day for lifting
  13. Finally broke my plateau and got a solid 500x1 DL today. No belt, just chalk. Considering the last time I hit that weight I was about 190-195, I'm super happy.
  14. I'm sure there's someone out there that has hit the goals you're looking for on a vegan diet. If that's what you're looking for just go out and do it. Keep your basics down, your diet in check and get in the gym. If they're a body builder they'd be looking to have an overall appearance that is well rounded and one body part isn't as accentuated more than another. Maybe that's why.
  15. Squats today, worked up to five sets of doubles at 2. Unannounced to me my blood sugar was stupdily high the whole workout and these felt heavier than normal. None the less, they all went up. Did a bunch of leg curls, reverse hypers, leg press and back raises to end the day off.

  17. Had a great bench day today for reps. Got up to 175 for 6 on incline. Supersetted close grip bench at 135x12 with tricep pushdowns for 25. Hit shoulders hard as well.
  18. Thanks man. Did explosive squat work Thursday. 245 for eight triples with a minute rest in between. Reverse band squats to 315x2. Light, but worked on exploding. Leg Press for three plates PS. 4x15. Rev hypers 3x12 Ab work and 5x5 Oly squats.
  19. Floor Press yesterday, worked up to 3 sets of doubles with 205. No one in the gym so I dropped back down to 195 for the last couple of sets. Bench rep PR with 155, hit 15. Strength is cool
