  1. Such a positive contribution. Why is that funny? I enjoyed her choice or perhaps unintentionally of words. How many abnormal foods have you eaten Zack? Have you had a rocks.lately? How about some asphalt? I am sure that Marcina did not mean that raw foodists were abnormal. I would imagine she was referring to the "Usual" foods and their "usual" preparation for our part of the world. Which is why the use was funny. I think she may still be using an animal product, I think fish or something for some digestive problems, but I don't think that she was referring to that. Listen Zack you have been talking about some blood chemistry problems and all lately so I am gong to let that Catty remark go. You are way to smart not to have seen that word play.
  2. yeah he has been telling that story for a while. I would imagine that other vegan doctors have run into the same problems. I find I make out better with his diet then with say Barnard's. My fasting sugar was high 112 with a barnard approach, and about 89 with the furhman approach. That is not to say that I dont add in grain based carbs, it is just to say that I it probably only represents 15 to 20 percent of my diet. I find it works for me.
  3. havent they had problems with him before. Wasnt he the ref who kept breaking up the clinches on the cages all the time. Like the fighters would be fighting dirty boxing, or just jockeying for position and he would break them up to begin stand up again.
  4. I think she means "Teetotaler" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teetotalism
  5. her voice sounds like the Vicar of Dibley
  6. Even with an optimal diet, you still may be lacking a few nutrients that may offer significant health benefits – especially when it comes to cancer protection. Although we get thousands of beneficial micronutrients from vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts, and seeds, there are a few nutrients that still may be lacking. Zinc and DHA are two nutrients that are somewhat more difficult to obtain on a plant-based diet and were recently found to enhance prostate cancer survival.1 Zinc and DHA were investigated because they are both known to reduce inflammation, and inflammation contributes to cancer progression. This recent study demonstrated, High zinc intake was associated with up to 74% reduction in risk of death from prostate cancer. High DHA intake was associated with 30% reduced risk of death from prostate cancer. Long-term zinc supplementation is associated with reduced risk of advanced prostate cancer.2 Plant foods have high zinc content, however these foods also contain substances that inhibit zinc absorption.3 As a result, there is a high prevalence of zinc deficiency among vegetarians and vegans.4 The omega-3 fatty acid DHA is known to have anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as benefits to the brain and cardiovascular system.5,6 The major food source of DHA is fish, which often contains pollutants and is of course not included in a vegetarian or vegan diet. Read more about zinc, DHA, and prostate cancer survival on Disease Proof. For zinc and DHA, supplementation is appropriate to ensure sufficient intake. Zinc is included in Dr. Fuhrman’s Gentle Care Formula (and Gentle Prenatal) multivitamin and mineral supplement. Even those who follow a high nutrient diet-style should take a high-quality multivitamin and mineral supplement to top off their healthy diets, not just to protect against deficiencies but to achieve optimal levels that mazimally enhance protection against cancer. Dr. Fuhrman’s Gentle Care Formula and Gentle Prenatal multivitamin and mineral supplements are formulated to contain the optimal amounts of each nutrient and to exclude potentially harmful ingredients. To assure peope maintain optimal DHA levels, Dr. Fuhrman recommends taking a laboratory cultivated DHA supplement made from micro-algae, which is a more environmentally sustainable option than fish or fish oil. Dr. Fuhrman’s DHA Purity is manufactured under strict conditions to ensure purity and freshness and stored in refrigeration. _____________________________ References: 1. These are actually some of the studies referenced by my urologists. Well actually the last five urologists I have had. I dont know I thought I would offer them up for inspection. They are from Fuhrmans site.
  7. man now you gotta start all over again.
  8. VB wrote: "i (she!) did not have a problem eating that amount of coconut" Wow you are a girl great avatar.
  9. do you mean talking to him about veganism for muscle? Then have a better body then him. do you mean like work projects? Then ignore him and build a better mouse trap.
  10. I think maybe he was eating too little (way below maintenance) or too much (way above maintenance) For some people coconuts can be laxatives, or rather have a laxative effect. I am not sure if eating three a week constitutes that for you. You have to figure out what kind of calories you are expending. Which can be difficult to do. If your day is changing all the time then that is a problem. Try getting a routine if that is at all possible. A routine for your day not just your exercising. When you think that you have a number that is consistent enough. Try shaving 10% off for 2 weeks. See what happens. If you eat too little and burn too much it can cause confusion with the body and it may try to hold on to weight.
  11. Yes yes yes I saw that too. And your friend echos my sentiment and many others I have spoken to. I am not aiming at the actors, just the people incharge of the story. The acting was fine as always. The actors do the best they can with what they are given. I wish them all well. One of my friends bought every available season of Lost. Boy is he pissed now. He used to comb through those things looking for oysters of knowledge about the story now he will use seasons 3, 4 and 5 as coasters for drinks.
  12. It doesnt!!!! That is my point . Nothing mattered . The island didnt matter, atheist dont matter. Nothing mattered. They took something where everything was supposed to have a connection to everything else. Every piece of footage had to be scrutinized for its meaning and then they just wrapped it all up in a bow of simplistic thought. Here is what mattered. The crash, are they dead or alive? Well next the father is out of the coffin. Is he dead or alive? the island the island the island. Oh they are dead. Take those marginally written characters and put them anywhere else and they are boring. The island mattered most. Watch the dvds fast forward through everything except the dialog between the characters. Now dump the dialog and watch the island parts. Which needed which? IN the end we didnt matter either.
  13. Could have been in a restaurant or anywhere. Could have been in a funeral home, with out the clearly catholic icons. No I watched for the island.
  14. agreed the island was more important then the people. I was very concerned this would happen when I saw the previous two episodes. Especially the one with the two brothers. Very stale. And to use a judeo christian idea of afterlife was a little cheesy. Richard you are right. The third season was flowdering because they did not get a commitment from ABC as to how long they were going to be on. Then they found out inbetween the third and fourth season and spent a while trying to bolster the third season with the fourth. It didnt work. They lost alot of viewers. I was so disappointed by the finale. Many guessed that they were already dead. That this was some kind of alternate reality in one fashion or another. Then to have it confirmed just made it seem like a waste of time watching all the seasons. They could have done the whole thing in a miniseries and been done with it. They said in the lead up that some questions would remain unanswered , well how about all my questions were un answered. Then how about non of mine or anyone elses mattered any way. Luckily I used the series as one of my cardio shows so it was not a complete loss.
  15. How the hell do you row a barbell? Why did you bend it? You miust be gong around and circles man.
  16. well I saw the video on MMA Linker. that must have been hard for Marius with his ego. That is a lot of muscle to carry around and feed oxygen to. He should have kept with the kicks. Even though he was getting tagged. I don't think that there is a good substitute for actually fighting in the octagon for endurance then fighting in the octagon. I think that he will really change his training because he likes being a winner, and this will not sit to well with him.
  17. I would love to see that video though. Tim has a win streak going now. LOL
  18. the cop the judge and the prosecutor. The stenographer?
  19. who did you contact? Veggieprincess? Seasiren? I dont know that they are RDs but Seasiren does figure and I lot of modeling, and Veggieprincess does alot of diets. Also I think that Octopussior did some ones diet for a contest. Johan has some good things to say but he is a little more about looking contest all year long. Cubby I think is on his way to an RD. Johan is too. I might be forgetting some people.
