  1. I am currently doing chin ups, dips and press ups although I'm not sure what the best routine is in terms of reps etc. Are these exercises OK, or should I be doing something else? I'd ideally liked a fairly developed chest and arms, although I am not looking to be really big, only 'fitness model' standard. I know it will take a long time and a lot of owrk but I really want to do this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  2. I was under the impression that flax was a good source of iodine? That's what it says on my packet anyway.
  3. Firstly, the last month or so has been a stressful period in my life for various reasons and my diet has gone out of the window a bit, often eating convenience food and even drinking beer a couple of nights a week. Thankfully the stressful period has passed and I aim to get back into the swing of things, both in terms of diet and training. I have put on a little bit of weight unfortunately but thankfully not too much. I have started eating properly again and my current diet looks like this: Breakfast - Organic museli with soy milk and a chopped banana, cup of nettle tea, apple, soy yogurt. Wholemeal toast with soy spread. Lunch - Salad, with spinach, tomatoes, dressing, hummus and some soy meat strips or marinated tofu. Few pieces of fruit. Snack - handful pumpkin seeds, more fruit. Dinner - Something like seitan with veggies, lentil and veg casserole with added veggies and hummus, soy mince with potatoes and other veggies. I also am getting into quinoa and eating it with roast veggies. Dessert - Soy ice cream and tinned fruit. Any suggestions would be great. Am I getting enough protein to build muscle? Training wise, I do a brisk hour long walk each day and bodyweight exercises such as push ups. I installed a chin up bar and do chin ups as well as hanging leg raises. I sometimes use my lateral thigh trainer for cardio and do ab exercises such as planks and crunches. Thanks!
  4. Thanks, it's good to be here. I've been reading some of the threads and have found some really good info already.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm a guy in my late 20s and have been vegan for about 4 years now. I am interested in packing on muscle, but I am very much a beginner in terms of training. I really would like some advice with nutrition. I don't like gyms so would be mainly using bodyweight exercises. I would love to build a reasonable chest and arms and get a six pack. I have been told by some people that it is 'nearly impossible' to build muscle on a vegan diet, but Robert Cheeke etc. obviously prove it can be done. Look forward to chatting to you all! seitan_man
