Protein powder comparative amino acid analysis

Quinoa and flax are complete proteins too I believe. -
Cool results from an experiment.
seitan_man replied to beforewisdom's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
Interesting, I have never used protein powders before, but I may well invest in rice protein! Do you think you could get the same results with hemp or soy protein? -
Thanks, I'll give it a whirl sometime!

20-25 for me, although bodyweight exercises are all I do, with the exception of using resistance tubing. I really can't do any one arm push ups though!
-
Great stuff DV, btw robert, how is that vegan bodybuilding book coming along?
-
My local health food store has a sale on, big tubs are being sold at quite a low price. I have read quite a lot of negative opinions about the stuff, but was wondering whether I should invest in some? Ideally I would buy hemp protein, but it is pretty much impossible to buy where I live, unless I get it via mail order.

Do we get to see any pics of DV?

I will happily heat in the oven at the lowest setting, I don't even know what this dehydrating business actually means anyway. I got a great raw cookbook recently as a present and it spurned my interest in raw cooking.

Best possible physique using bodyweight workouts?

Could I have a look at what you eat Warlock? How many grams of protein should I be aiming for each day? -
I am interested in vegan pizza and would like a good recipe. I don't have a dehydrator. The crust is what I am most wondering about.

I don't believe flax is bad for humans for one second!

Best possible physique using bodyweight workouts?
seitan_man replied to seitan_man's topic in Bodybuilding/Strength Training
What exactly do you think I should eat? This is where I also get confused and frustrated with regard to my meal plans. I ideally want to trim up my waist whilst building overall muscle. I'm worried about being able to eat enough to put on muscle, whilst still being able to lose weight around my waist and get great abs. Any suggestions? -

Some great stuff there, thanks! -
Steroids just have terrible effects on the bodies organs(liver, heart etc). That's why Arnold has a bad ticker. I thought Arnie was completely natural?

The Top 10 Post Workout Nutrition Myths

Great article, thanks for posting it! One thing, if whey is only a 'moderate' protein, how do vegan proteins such as soy and hemp compare? -
Bodybuilding Aims - Realistic / Natural / Unnatural?
seitan_man replied to Richard's topic in Bodybuilding/Strength Training
I would *not* want to look like one of those super huge guys that grace the covers of BB magazines, as I don't find that attractive it all and sincerely doubt it is natural or healthy. -

Great, thanks. That Fabian Hambuechen has the type of body I would like to aim for. -
I am curently away for a few days staying in a hotel and have been using their excellent free gym. Bicep curls with dumbells have been the order of the day. I can only lift 7.5kg weights on each arm though, but it's a start.

An ex-vegan on another forum states: 'There are individuals who do not make enough cholesterol and thus need dietary cholesterol. For these individuals, veganism is not functional. the way that the body regulates cholesterol is very interesting. people who have high or low cholesterol (rather than balanced) tend to have "broken" systems. Those with high can decrease their dietary intake for amazing results to their overall cholesterol levels and health. Those with low cholesterol must consume cholesterol-rich foods in order to maintain their health'. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any comments from our experts on here?

If you ground quinoa (after washing it to get rid of the saporin) could you use this as a protein powder? I realise that it would be uncooked quinoa.

Protein powder comparative amino acid analysis

I was always under the impression that hemp protein was the best source of vegan protein out there, just as good as whey. It looks like it is in fact much lower in protein. I'm not so sure I want to pay the high price for hemp any more. Gemma is not available in the UK either I don't think?!? -
Darn expensive yes, but vegan?

I know Definately one of my heroes and someone who is sadly missed. It was a humbling experience visiting the site of his death outside the Dakota Building when I visited NYC.

Anyone know Eric Carlson or Kenneth Williams?
seitan_man replied to seitan_man's topic in Bodybuilding/Strength Training
Eric Carlson must be in the *best* shape possible. Sheesh, pity he doesn't really seem to promote veganism? I have found a few articles about him but veganism never seems to be mentioned.
