  1. Hi me and my girlfriend are planning to come to portland (from the uk) in the next few months. Thinking of around september time? Basically just loking for advice as we know hardly anything about what the area comprises of. From what I gather there are quite a few people from the on here so i was wondering if you could let me know a few good places to stay, eat, drink etc any information would be useful. many thanks!
  2. cheers potter although can you go into more detail about the swimming u did re strokes amounts of time etc also could diet have any affect? does anyone think pilates or any similar activity may help as im considering doing this. thanks for the replies so quick.keep them coming!
  3. hi i have a really dodgy shoulder (mentioned before on here) i dislocated it a few years back and its come out a few times since then. feeling really weak at times. particularly after any weight exercises or punching/boxing type stuff and i feel so vunerable at the moment. like it could just pop out at any time.has anyone had a similar experience or know of the best plan that could help re construct the muscles (mostly rotator cuff i think) involving exercises and diet. i have access to a gym and a pilates band which a physio woman told me was good to use for it although it doesnt seem to do much.i also have access to a swimming pool and have been doing breast stroke. also advised to me but nothing is working! im getting really frustrated and need help.im considering having an operation as the doctor said theres 90% chance it wont pop out again although iv known people who have and its said to be a lot more painful post op. anyhow. please help! anything would be appreciated.xx
  4. does anyone know were i can watch episodes of this on the internet cos i dont hav sky? also how is mac danzig doing an when are his fights etc as i havent managed to watch any of it this season. cheers
  5. Hello! as some of you may have read im recovering from a dislocated shoulder. Lifting heavy weights is clearly not the answer and even after i go for small dumbells i find my shoulder still cracks and aches after. Just wondering how i can still build up my arms without causing anymore damage to my shoulder. cheers!

    hi

thank you all for your quick responses! really seems to be a great community spirit on this forum which is brilliant. good job robert + whoever else has created this site. re: shoulder after the first dislocation 3 years ago it was fine for a about 2 years. its only recently that its started popping out again on a regular basis but since iv started doing band work its become more sore than anything. maybe this is part of the healing process? who knows. im also slightly concerned that it may have grown back slightly out of place due to weight training too suddenly as i have been told by my physio woman that my shoulder are very unevenly balanced and that its almost as if my body subconsciously refrains me from putting any strain on my damaged shoulder and puts all the weight on the other.this is even when it is not painful and im consciously trying to work the damaged shoulder! im very grateful for all your responses.
