  1. Btw your abs are absolutely nuts. Very few natural people have the kinda of ab size i want and your one of them. What kinda of stuff are you doing for them? besides the stuff that hits them by default(deads, squats ect.) mostly heavy movements i assume?
  2. Great, amazing difference. Any new face pics ? I'm allways curious to see how weight loss effects facial features.
  3. That would be the case assuming a vegan diet is the best diet for human athletes, but many would argue other wise. I don't really know the answer either way all i know is the best of the best of all sports with few exceptions are on a omni diet. Plus being vegan doesn't automatically make you healthier or more alkaline. actually a good number of vegans i've met personally aren't very healthy looking nor athletic in the least. There's a right and a wrong way to do a omni diet and a vegan diet and i truly believe a bad omni diet is healthier for someone then a bad vegan diet. A good vegan diet vs. a good omni i think is debatable. The reason i say that about a the too bad diets is the fact that the majority of the worst stuff people eat happens to fall into the vegan foods. Oils, GMO's, Pesticides, HFCS, flours, sugars ect, so eliminating all that would make a diet healthy regardless of meat vs. no meat.
  4. How did you record the vocals? just running a mic into your little unit? does it have vocal preamps in there or did you just use a clean guitar patch ? what kinda of mic?
  5. LOL Good one. Theres some truth about function vs. non functional exercises, but i find the term gets used too much usually to hype a certain kinda of training. Bottom line if someone is lifting heavy free weights they're strong. You don't have to be able to squat on a swiss ball lol
  6. IF i was you I'd add whatever weight puts you down to the 5-10 rep range depending on goals. I'm usually in the 5-8 range. From my experience the best way to increase total reps of a certain exercise is staying low rep and building more total strength then at the end of that muscle group do higher rep body weight. I remember 5 years again i had a body weight fanatic friend who thought weights were a waste of time and they don't build "functional strength" he told me there was no way i could do 80 push ups because i only train low rep bench which doesn't carry over to push ups. And then i busted out 100 push ups never training over 10 reps on bench or doing any push ups.
  7. I agree. But I think FH's point was more that ionizing water does add anything useful...I don't think he was suggesting that making sure your water has as little 'added' to it as possible is a bad thing, just that the hocus pocus of ionizing it or oxygenating it doesn't do anything. I'm jealous that you have fresh spring water! Yeah if that's what he's talking about i agree. ionizing water is probably hype to sell a product. Yeah i love having a local fresh spring to fill up my water jugs. I used to spend like 50 bucks a month on filtered water for my whole family and i and now i don't pay a penny. Tastes great also!
  8. except for the fact that tap water has fluoride, chlorine added and in some places Lithium. on top of that traces of 50 plus different pharmaceutical drugs. So i'll take my fresh spring water that i get for free or if i had to filtered water any day over tap, but too each his own.
  9. It's strange cause the girls should be every bit as technical or more so then Men cause they have to rely on technique not strength. The Females are pretty good in top level boxing and muay thai but not good at all in MMA. Maybe that will change as more women get into it.
  10. Other girl seemed slightly better in striking, but obviously had no conditioning nor desire to fight after getting hit. IN theory girls should be as technical as the guys, but be lacking in strength, speed ect. but even at the high levels it just doesn't seem as though fighting is natural for women. I'd Recommend a boxing gym for learning fundamentals of boxing. I learned more boxing in a week at a boxing gym then a year at a MMA gym.
  11. Sounds cool, you near alaska or more inland? You play bass also right? I'm a guitar player
  12. Jezz -42 would be hard to stay on any diet. What do you do up there? for fun and work? It must be nice durning the summer
  13. I'm curious what the reasons are. you shouldn't worry about what people think on here, some will flame u but at the end of the day it's your life and you need to do what's best for you. Not what you need to do to fit some title.
  14. Very unlikely that your under 4 percent Body fat. That is what elite body builders come into contest at and quickly go above that after wards. there's very few people naturally sub 6 percent unless they are staving themselves. There's no secret to gaining, just eat as much as you can and lift.
  15. I'm always a heavy skeptic on the conspiracy stuff (not that I disregard it all, but of course, everything with a grain of salt ). I was more fascinated by the "Cult of Obama" type stuff that makes for a sociologist's wet dream, since I've always wondered why everyone got so worked up over him being viewed as the savior of our country. Like I said, kept it running in the background, found bits interesting, but I'll always question the complete depth of the conspiracy stuff. Yeah the Obama worship is pretty interesting. I think with the right marketing you can get anyone to be idolized as you see in the pop culture. Obama is a extreme example, but i feel most of it has worn off. Change, Change, Change and all we've seen is him out Bushing Bush.
  16. All whole plant foods contain every essential amino acid. There's a myth that plant foods are missing a couple essential amino and that is not true. some are lower in certain amino acids then animal foods. Most would say plant protein are inferior and i would say i haven't notice a difference either way
  17. Great job! That's the way women should train, just like the guys. Lifting pink dumbbells isn't doing much
  18. Yeah real silly, cause Governments have always had the best interests of the people in mind. well ya, they were corrupt but not my country. This here is a quote from many years ago and just show's that history repeats it self time and time again, with slicker and slicker propaganda. The funny thing is these movies exposed obama before he could even expose himself. Fall of the Republic exposed the banker bail outs and guess what? now we have the all this info coming out exposing tim geithner, henny paulson among other people in main stream news. "Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." -Hermann Goering about the Nazi's
  19. Yeah, it's true that some might not treat them well and only have them for selling eggs. But the chickens are going to be there regardless, either that or they get killed in the wild or sent to a factory farm. so they lay eggs and the eggs need to be taken away so there's not a over population on the farm. The eggs could either be thrown away or sold to someone, either way it's going.
  20. I personally think there is nothing wrong with eating eggs from a small farm that doesn't coup the chickens into a tiny little area and also one that doesn't kill the chickens. I know a couple farms locally here and the eggs that aren't sold are thrown away. They can't just let all of them hatch or there would be a serious overpopulation on the farm. a couple have made the argument that it is immoral because they are being used for there eggs. The farms i know treat there chickens extremely well kinda like how pet dogs and cats are treated. also chickens to my knowledge are domesticated animals that can't survive in the wild so better on that kinda of farm then on a factory farm and better the eggs be used to feed people rather then thrown away.
  21. Obviously meat isn't what it's cracked up to be if your only 135 pounds at 5'11''. If your that small odds are your a light eater and that's something that needs to change if your going to get big on any diet. Eat as much as you can of clean whole foods and have someone teach you compounds lifts and make a work out split. Remember Recovery is as important as the training , so eat big (but clean) sleep enough, and don't over train.
  22. Whole unprocessed grains on average are only slightly acidic, much more alkaline then animal products and processed foods. Yes you have to have a positive nitrogen balance to build muscle and protein is the only thing that provides nitrogen. Obviously everyone needs a different amount of protein to maintain that positive balance.
