  1. Eugenics, is why there will never to a improvement in any diseases and will continue to get worse. Not going to get into explaining that whole thing, but it's very sad. I agree with IYM the best cure is not getting something in the first place. With the western diet/ lifestyle your just about guarantied to die of something other then old age and have many problems leading up to that. I don't know anyone over the age of 50 that isn't on any drugs and/ or doesn't have any health issues. There's isn't a cure for much out there. If you have High blood pressure they have you go on a drug for the rest of your life to keep the numbers in check, if you have diabeties you have to go drugs to manage that. The wrestern model is all about managing diseases, not curing or preventing. There isn't money in telling everyone to eat a whole food organic vegan diet, but there's a ton of money in telling people that diet has little effect on disease management so go ahead and live that western diet and then when you get a problem we're cut it our/ poision it or burn it.
  2. yeah i was really thinking around 125 but i wasn't too sure and didn't want to be mean. Eat big(lots of good carbs) lift big and you'll get where you want to get
  3. ??? It was a ? if you haven't watched basketball and saw how they act right before the game then you wouldn't know what i was talking about unless maybe you tuned on MTV
  4. Have you watched a basketball team get ready for a NBA game? Humans aren't that far off. It's just humans are more disfunctional
  5. yeah it's werid. i mean he's charismtic and seems on top of it mentally and stuff but it's just not adding up. my dad and all his buddies are his age or a little older and if he was one of his buddies he's look older then most of them. I heard he's really fit though
  6. Yep, On a side note why does graham look so old for a guy doing something that seems pretty good for health? Not knocking the guy but the results arn't adding up. Great physique for 56 but face and skin look 65-75. thats is the range of guesses i've gotten asking 5 different people to guess his age. They all say i really lean fit 70 year old.
  7. Charlie Able is the guy yuor thinking about. Graham has said that on his veg source forum which i was on for a year or so. Yeah i agree we need much less water if we're eatting water rich foods, but the best thing is listen to the body. Graham said he's been drinking deionized water for the last 20 years
  8. Sounds goood, i'll try to laugh with you not at you. Before you respond back go educate yourself a bit, go read something like The China Study where they have real studies with evidence instead of saying stuff like It's a fact that lifting weight on a bad diet is better for bone health then a perfect diet with no lifting or whatever it was that you said. You have nothing backing any of your statements besides that weights are good and exercise is good, No shit. i'm done arguing with someone that is clueless. Good night!
  9. Dude it's a flatout incorrect statement. Go sell it to the fat lady, and come back when you not afraid to face the truth. and where is the incorrect statement? that junk food has little to no nutrients? and that little nutrients in the diet have a bad effect on bone health? or that you can get 2K from health food or junk food?
  10. Dude you're in denial, Not to mention, you think you're a know it all. You don't want to hear what other people are saying. It no doubt stems from some self esteem issues you have. Here is just one point that you are wrong about. These are two different things, which I tried to explain to you. But you don't want to see, or hear the truth, because it would mean that you are wrong. Very sad Calorie intake is 1 major factor that makes up a diet, so where am i wrong? You can get 2K from organic whole foods or you can get 2 K from Mcd's but on the crap food you get very little nutrients therefore weak bones down the road
  11. I had the same issue. What i like to do now is have the ajustable bench and set it 1 click from straight up. this give you a more natural angle like if you were standing
  12. I'm guessing 5'11'' 135-145 range. Keep the leannest and add muscle and you'll be soild by the time your 18 or so.
  13. Not at all, in fact i'd love to be wrong on this one, so i can eat whatever i want and not think about nutrition. But i've yet to see something on this post were i'm wrong. my stance Exercise and diet are needed for ideal health and there's no substitute for either, but i do belive that for health and longevtiy very moderate exercise is needed and certainly there's no need to lift weight to live long. every day activity like people have been doing forever will do the trick. But you can tell yourself whatever you like to try and justifily your poor eatting habits
  14. Being on a vegan diet has nothing to do the amount of your caloric intake. Hense fat and skinny Vegan. There are all kinds of people. You seem to want to streotype them all. No being over weight has only to do with eating more calories then your body consumes. Apparently your traveling in the wrong circle of people. Once again you want to sterotype all people to fit into your little neat formular. Well sorry to say it's not as simple and straight forward as you would like to believe. PS Thanks for fixing that. Your definition of a healthy diet and mine are probably two totally different things. Being vegan tells what you don't eat not what you do, so you can be on a vegan diet that is crap. And yes i've never seen or heard about a obese person on a really healthy diet. and if they say they are then there lieing. No point in going around in circles here becasue everyone that knows anything knows you need both proper diet(not just proper calories) and exercise for optimal health
  15. Calorie intake and diet are the same thing. Show me a person that can eat compete sad and keep there calories in check without depriving themselves. Being overweight is mostly to do with diet. Never met anyone eatting a healthy diet that is obese and see people daily that train extremely hard in grappling that are over 25 percent bf and a couple over 40 percent.
  16. For the average person exercise will over a persons life have greater benifits than not eating hamburger. Would you please figure out how to get the quotes correct. Thanks Disagree strongly. Most the diseases in the west are from excess not underdoing. Exercise is allways a good idea like they say never a bad idea to do the right thing, but what do people die from now more then ever before? Cancer/ heart disease/ diabeties ect. Exercises helps but if your a walking heart attack it's best to look at what your doing in the kitchen. Plus obesity is huge which contributes to these as well and is mostly about diet unless of course your young with great genetics or are a endurance athlete
  17. Yes and they don't have access to automobiles either, they have to walk to get there. meaning they get much more exercise than the average westerner who is waited on hand and foot, and sits behind a desk. No I think the more you learn and the more you read you will see that the word out on the street is exercise is pivital to good health reguardless of what you eat. With one exception and that is you have such a poor nutritional diet that you succumb to diseases. Yes exericse is improtant for any diet as is diet is important for any exericse routine. Bad diet is benefited by exercise, but so is a healthy diet. Exercise can't replace what is gained from a health diet like a healthy diet can't do what exercise can. they go together like a horse and carriage. But i think we've all seen enough world class athletes wear down and end up dieing at a very young age where most the people i know that lived very long like my greart aunt didn't really exercise that much at all but eat everything in small amounts
  18. I think your wrong. Building muscles builds strong bones. Other wise weight lifter would be braking more bones the stronger they got. Then you go off on general health. The subject at hand is bone density and how to aquire good density. I believe it's a proven fact that a person who exercises, with a less a than stellar diet are going to be more fit than a sedantary person with a stellar diet. I'd like to see a study were you have some lifting weights living a shit life style and another person with a good lifestyle with just normal every day activities and test there bone strength. Don't think you'll ever see a study like this so not much of a fact. ANd yes the subject at hand is bone density and yes diet effects bone density more then lifting weights imo. Many more plant based whole food cultures have much less bone issues then western countries and just about all these poor countries have no acess to weights. weight training does improve bone density though.
  19. What do you mean by this? you're missing the point of my question don't see what you don't get. Proper lifestyle(good diet, not doing drugs, not drinking, not smoking ect) > lifting weights for bone health
  20. I disagree with with the order, but agree both are important. good thing we don't have to pick You can eat and eat the best of diets without exercise and and you bone density and muscle mass will be minimal. On the other hand a good execise program and a poor diet will yield greater bone density and muscle mass. Exercise is number one and diet second. As proven by all our omni friends. Yeah for sure for Muscle strength and size but not bone strength. I think for athletics it's 70 percent training/ 30 percent diet and for general health it's like 70 percent diet/ 30 percent exercise.
  21. It was a serious question with no insult attached. Sorry if I stepped on your toes. Doubt you were serious, becasue it was pretty easy to figure what i meant to say. Either way no biggie to me
