I have NF1 and it causes nasty looking but usually harmless spots and tumours to my skin and nerves. I feel uncomfortable when I have to be in revealing clothes if someone I don't know well sees me. I have more courage nowadays than few years ago, thanks to Love of my life. So I decided to be brave and put my pictures here and tell my own story. My project started when I managed to loose weight. After a year of training I decided to burn some fat away. At starting point my weight was 63kg (138,9lbs). http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8384/8584264696_0ee411148d.jpg May 23rd 2012 After 1,5 months dieting my weight was 58kg (127,9lbs) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8229/8583141819_63712a0565.jpg July 15th 2012 At the end of my diet (fat burning) my weight was 54,5kg (120lbs) and it is my lowest at this height. I look so little and my muscles are empty (during the last 1,5 weeks of my diet I ate only 20-40 grams of carbohydrates per day.). http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8236/8583141759_03150440ef.jpg August 17th 2012 Now I weight something between 65-66kg (143-145lbs). I don't have a proper picture of myself at this point. I have been growing my muscles and eating well for 7 months and I have two more to go. I start to burn fat again in June. I think I gained weight too fast after my diet. So there is more fat than I had planned to gain. I hope that I have gained some mucle too. Next time I have to be more careful after diet. I have to increase my calorie intake more slowly than I did last autumn. Hello from Finland
minon posted a topic in IntroductionsHello! I'm Minna, nearly 25 years old girl (yep, I think I'm still girl - despite of my age) from Finland. My English is not very good but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I've been vegan for about two years now. Before that I was something between lacto-ovo vegetarian and vegan for eight years. I'm not 100% vegan. I eat honey sometimes and use wool in my clothing (trying to use recycled or eco). I also have some leather shoes, but they are old and I'm not buying new leather anymore. I don't want to cause any unnecessary harm to any living creature. I started to go to gym 21 months ago. I'm interested in bodybuilding and I want to gain muscles and strenght. I want to feel healthy and vitality and be satisfied with my bodyform. I also want to prove everyone (and myself) that I can do normal things despite of doctors opinions and my physical condition (I have NF1). My passion for all this started when I met my boyfriend for over three years ago. Back then he was already training in gym. First I thought that I would never do that myself. But over (short) time something happened in my head and I started to think differently and here I am now. And i feel good an passionate. It is nice that I can share my hobby with person I love most.
