  1. I just saw it at the IMAX in Madison WI this past Friday night. Unbelievably realistic sound levels, this is the way the movie was intended to be viewed. 9.5/10. Have fun!
  2. I'm around... lurking in the shadows. O.K. a little creepy, too much Dark Knight for me. 180 lbs. this morning.
  3. I made this MKWii Video today!
  4. Yeah, over the past year I have kept an eye on it. Its fairly new so I am always skeptical. Unlike the NO products that forum users report positive, neutral, and negative results, I can only seem to find positive reviews. I'm reading quite a few reviews of long time bodybuilders that have been using a postworkout of Malto/Dex for years and now switching to WMS because overall they are getting better results. It seems to be vegan from as far as I can tell, doesn't cause bloating, empties the stomach quickly, and is quickly absorbed in the small intestine. I feel the rest of my diet is well rounded and full of micronutrients so adding some refined carb source that might help my goals isn't the end of the world.
  5. Whole Foods ended up calling me telling me that they couldn't get it, but I found some at Woodman's freezer section... bought about a case, pretty tasty stuff... I eat it as a treat.
  6. Well I'm a little ancy and with no replies I think I'm gonna order some up for and experiment...
  7. A bunch of my friends went at midnight last night, they said it was really good. I held out for the IMAX showing tonight at 10:20! Pumped.
  8. Great post, made my day looking at all the fun you guys are having. I'm missin out. Zack, is that Potter with the RC shirt? That shirt is straight $.
  9. a good all-around vegan supplement is Vega. It doesn't have some of the things you mentioned but, as far as all-around vegan supplements go, Vega is top-notch. If you want the things you mentioned in a supplement just create your own at TP (trueprotein.com). You can create custom supplement mixtures to include carbs, protein, fat, aminos, creatine..... etc...
  10. Great pics, you guys match up really well... tough to judge since LnG is jus a bit tanner than Rob.
  11. I found this about a year ago... http://sitekreator.com/blindguru/alarming_facts.html
  12. Reviews? Opinions? I might add a refined carb source to my daily regimin, most likely post workout. I've read nothing but good things on bodybuilding forums about Amylocel, a deritive of natural corn starch. Wondering what some of your thoughts are?
  13. 175 lbs. - Friday - July 11, 2008 Road to recovery started this week. Diet is straightened out now... back to packing on weight.
  14. An interesting find I just made... my overall daily amino acid score comes to 126 using Gemma as my main protein powder. I switched the gemma for the 70/30 gemma/rice and the daily amino acid score came to 115 even though the gemma-rice has a better score in itself. It seems the solo gemma fits better into my diet, filling more gaps. So again, judging all the food you eat in a day is a better representative of the quality of your amino acid pool. Glad I did that.
  15. Actually 68% or 69% gemma to 31% or 32% rice yields a score of 143 but TP doesn't allow those fractions.
  16. You intrigued me to figure out a better combination to get a higher score. So far, the best I can come up with is 70% Gemma, 30% Rice = Amino Acid Score 141. (Higher than pumpkin seeds)
  17. This ratio yields an amino acid score of about 124 on nutritiondata.com... great ratios!!!
  18. I am looking to add a little bit of this guy to my diet to add some iron but I have a few questions... Not that Wiki is a great resource but it doesn't make chlorella sound too promising. "...for Chlorella to be a viable food source, its cellulose cell walls would have to be pulverized. The plant could reach its nutritional potential only in highly-modified artificial situations..." "...Chlorella, which actually loses most of its nutritional value when altered or processed in any way..." Does this mean all the micronutrients, vitamins and minerals are lost? Does the cell wall have to be broken? I found a website with chlorella powder from different countries... China (the cheapest and cell wall not broken), Japan (cell wall broken), and the U.S. Any advice?

  21. Mostly from chia seeds Some from the Ezekiel 4:9 Flax Cereal but that's negligible My opinion is torn right now about oils. If you are looking to gain weight and can't pack in the extra food I would consider supplementing the remainder of your macronutrient ratio of fat calories with flaxseed oil with DHA from Flora. One of the main reasons I choose Flora is because it comes in 8.5 oz bottles. The 8.5 oz bottles cost a fraction more in the long run but it helps keep the oil fresh because you can minimize the amount of time the oil is exposed to air. For example, a 17 oz bottle may take anywhere from "X" amount of weeks to consume depending on how much you take each day, where as an 8.5 oz bottle is consumed in half the time, cutting the air exposure time in half. I usually buy about 12 or more bottles at a time, keeping one bottle in the fridge while the rest are in the freezer. The seeds are also "pressed in low-heat, light-and oxygen-free environment, bottled in environmentally friendly, light resistant amber glass to ensure maximum nutritional value and freshness." If you are looking to lose weight I would steer clear of all oils and stick with whole foods, chia seed and flaxseed. Walnuts are also high in 3s but even higher in 6s so they don't really help your overall ratio. Side note: I previously supplemented with Udo's DHA oil, Flora packages the Udo's product and I had good results from taking it, but the same results can be achieved with Flora's DHA Flax oil. Udo's blend is a 2:1, 3s to 6s ratio to help ensure most people don't over consume 3s and thus become deficient in 6s as he notes might be a problem with supplementing with plain flaxseed oil. I don't see this as being a problem unless you are consuming only low fat whole foods and only supplementing with flaxseed oil as your sole source of fat. I've been using nutritiondata to track my 3:6 ratio so its easier to keep things in check. Lastly, I too am supplementing with 3-4 capsules of EPA/DHA.
  22. veganmaster, a couple questions... Why do you have such a strong stance against refined vegetable oils, such as flax oil and not refined vegetable proteins and carbs? Possibly because of the short shelf life and rancidity issues of oils or just the fact that you are a strong believer in the low fat vegan diet? I am assuming the latter from your previous posts but the reason I ask is because your statements seem to contradict each other. You mention its much better to replace oils with plant based whole food but why not replace the soy protein powder and refined carbs (that you mention consuming) with plant based whole foods that are micronutrient rich? Most people consume refined macros for convenience or simply to add calories as they are less bulky. I would assume you also do the latter, but for someone who believes a bit more fat is necessary in the diet (like me) what other factors are negative about consuming say, fresh flaxseed oil, with regards to a macro nutrient filler? Lastly, would you mind sharing your typical daily diet? Thanks, I enjoy reading your perspectives.
  23. Kung Fu Panda - Great flick, I'll probably buy it when it comes on blu-ray. I like Jack Black too.
