  1. I'm new to this. I live out in the country, and nothing here caters to vegan or vegetarian customers. In fact, our only main grocery shop is a Wal-Mart. It's a very poor area. What I want to know is, some easy to prepare or prepared foods that a busy person can eat. I have found tons of recipes on the web, but nothing that I can easily make when I'm in a rush. Most of my food with have to be made from normal food, it's difficult to find certain brands and certain styles of some foods due to my area. I don't plan on making the transition from meat-eater to vegan suddenly, so I've already cut out any meat except poultry due to it's high protein rate, and I'm going to become vegetarian after studying this a bit more. I also need to know how neccessary are supplements? I don't believe in taking any kind of drug, and I know some supplemental pills contain certain drugs. I've also heard many horror stories about vegans and vegetarians losing hair, weight, or gaining various illnesses such as anemia. Are these true? and what are the best ways to prevent these things from happening to myself? I'm sure you've gotten these kinds of questions thousands of times before. Sorry if I overlooked a thread somewhere that would've helped.
