  1. this is a funy one.. my grandmother once poured me a glass of home made cherry compot. and then agged milk to it and tried to convince me that it didnt have milk in it... this was like 2 years ago, i was 20... maybe i'm just very unlucky that i'm sourounded by anti vegans.. but appart from that theya re the most loving people ever... we get on great and everything is fuined when i dont eat their dinner and they get all ofended and it's always because 'i'm being difficult' sigh

  3. I worked as a preeschool cheff and have done my share of baby sitting and you can tell the happy babies from the distressed ones. and Marla looks great is she a vegan baby to?
  4. you can make a great pudding. you need a little carn starch and potato flour, you can add coco or vanilla and sugar. you mix it with soy milk over a hot stove and keep stiring untill the starch gelatinises. i'm not sure of the quantities tho. If you would like the recipe i will get it for you. it's 100% vegan and babies love it. it has a smooth texture..
  5. I eat: 1) Breakfast: One bowl with oats/ rye/ barley with flax seeds and psylium and slippery elm. Soaked in hot water for 3 mins. I then add a tablespoon of flax seed oil to it. I also take my multi vitamin and antioxidant Morning snack: Herbal tea. 2) Lunch: I make a yummy salad sandwich or rice paper rolls or a salad wrap. 3) Afternoon snack: Smoothie with 250 ml fortified soymilk and 1 banana and 1 orange I also add a small tablespoon of protein powder sometimes. I take 2 calcium, 2 silica and 1 biotin supplement with my smoothie. 4) Dinner: Stir friend veggies or hearty soup. Some form of fried rice or spinach and tofy pie. Sate fotu… when I’m lazy I fry up 2 veg sausages and steam some frozen veggies.
  6. Does anyone get nauseous when you have a raw food day? I once except it up for 5 days and the feeling of ‘I’m about to throw up’ got a little more intense each day i naver actualy thew up tho..
  7. I hope he is!! I live hard stuff for working out.. like heavy industrial rap.. lol if that exists... Eminem did one and manson did one i liked to. sometimes i just listen to minestry of sound... but when it comes to workouts and me, music makes all the differance.
  8. I only ever snapped once, and all i could think of at the time was. 'you see i just dont want to have an obesity epidemic size ass like the rest of the world' i was about 18 and the smallest person in the room. I felt bad, like i was calling them fat. but if they only felt me alone i woud not have said it. And if i sit quietly and take it all in i feel like i have no back up and there for am in the wrong.. I also have very conservative parents, it's always been potatoes, sausages and lots of creme in soup. but i'm ok now.. i'll be fine, i'mm 22!! [/i]

  10. Have you ever been made fun of, or made to feel condescended or degraded because you are vegan? Ive been called a lesbian, anorexic, rabbit, killing myself, messed up in the head. this may be hard ot believe but ti's true. I have been not 100% vegan this year, i live in a dorm and one of my floor mates said that people who eat like that have issues, i'm finaly ready not NOT CARE AND just live my life. but it has been a strugle for me to be vegan since the day i decided to give it a go. i was 15 or 16 then. How are we vegans supose to cope with constant battering, esp if it's from people who we have to deal with everyday. I dont want to make some big deal out of it. i dont walk around with a McDeath shirt on or talk about animal rights. I just want to be left alone... anyone got any stories? sorry i just need a little encouragement here.
  11. I think she looks very content. Not that I can talk here but she looks like she is developing very peacefully.. If that makes any sense.. I’m sure your a great dad and it shows in the cheerful nature she radiates.
  12. I have had it done a few times... i need to get it done some more. it's worth the money i think, i rather not buy junk for 3 years and have no hair! it does hurt at times tho.... it feels a little like little hot needles penetrating your skin but thats just the hairs absorbing the laser heat.
  13. I understand that in order to supply your body with all 8 essential amino acids you need to mix your proteins. So far I know that LSA, linseeds, sunflower seeds and Almonds missed together provide a full protein and do does the combination of Brazil nuts, cashews and almonds. do anyone know of any other good combinations?
  14. Hello EVERY one ! I am 22 from Sydney australia. have been on and of vegan. vegeterian since i was around 16+-. I am into nutrition and being healthy I study nutritional science. I have had many problems, being a vegan along the way with very pushy mother giving me hell for eating the way i did and making sure there was no peace at the dinner table. I have now moved out of home and back on track and ready to live the life i want to live. Sooo thats sums me up.... if you would like to knwo more then ask away
