  1. Before I was conceived I was only a collection of cells scattered about, obviously no soul. Then a bunch of these cells came together, and now I am supposed to have a "soul"? Add 0 + 0 a thousand times and you'll never get 1. No just and loving God would ever create Miley Cyrus, and so I sleep in on Sundays.
  2. im excited about tito vs ryoto, i waited so long for ryoto to come to ufc and now he keeps winning. I think ryoto will sneak his way into a title show in the future.

  4. Sadly this could not be more true. As someone who starts pharmacy school in august, I know the knowledge that doctors have on nutrition is extremely limited. The united states puts a huge emphasis on dealing with health problems and not maintaining proper health. I will spend the next four years learning about pharmacy laws, receptor sites and their molecular interactions, disease symptoms/diagnosis/treatment, and probably a little bit about the horrendous animal testing that led to pharmaceutical breakthroughs. Anything I learn about maintaining or achieving greater health I will have to learn on my own. I can't really blame the medical community though, the standard american diet is so terrible they don't have time to deal with encouraging better nutrition programs. All they have time to do is fix diseases directly related to animal fats.

  6. In the south, especially where I am at, "vegetarian" usually just means it has vegetables in it. "Vegetable Plates" are likely to have more animal particulate matter than a steak. I my situation is different than most but I don't trust any restaurant unless I know for sure. In my neck of the woods green beans don't come without the beef or chicken broth and even if you order a salad without dressing or with olive oil and vinegar, 9 times out of 10 it will come covered with bacon. I doubt bacon fell into the chilli, someone put it in there because there typical patron wouldn't complain and they probably just assume all chilli comes with bacon.
  7. yea, I know several people who get some random tribal symbol and conjure up a random story for what it means. My tattoos are goofy and pretty much meaningless. As for the tramp stamp, I got a small lower back tattoo when I was 16 before the whole "tramp stamp" thing took off. I ended up getting a much bigger tattoo that partially covered it but I kind of liked my tramp stamp. It was a reminder not to take myself so seriously. I think tattoos in the right areas can actually make someones physique look better. How judges would feel about this in competition, I don't know.
  8. I'm running a 15K in june, somehow I have to be ready for it and keep muscle on. Muscle just seems to fall off of me.

  11. mark bocek will be a tough opponent, his only loss is frank edgar(who is kind of a badass). I hope mac comes through and looks like the maniac he is, his exposure from this could be huge.
  12. I used to argue alot about this when I was in high school. I would say I'm a hard determinist but I don't let it affect my everyday actions(haha kind of an oxymoron if you think about it). An interesting tidbit is that clarrence darrow briefly argued for determinism at the trial of leopold and loeb. He believed their actions were predetermined. It may sound wacky but it got them out of the death penalty.
  13. Hunger is triggered in the brain. Although its a good evolutionary strategy(your brain lets you know when you need calories) your autonomic nervous system isnt aware of your body fat goals. Eat what you think you should, not what you feel like eating. If you want a good approximation of what someone who does a lot of cardio looks like when they gorge and give in to their ridiculous cravings, I can post a picture of my belly.
  14. one group once a week works best for me. if I try and do twice a week i feel like im giving up some exercises. Ive tried everything and with my lifestyle one group once a week works the best. although my legs get worked several times do to the running and my forearms inadvertently get worked every time i work out upper body(and all the manu stuprare cant hurt).
  15. this clip doesnt show the next part of the show. they all go and get drunk and eat pizza and cake in one last hooraw before all of the weight they are supposedly going to lose. the show did paint raw veganism in a good light though
