  1. If your gym has kettlebells I suggest checking them out. I've been doing them for a few weeks now. Not only do I think theyre great fun, but they're definitely strengthening my other lifts. I've always kept my routine very basic. My main focus is on: deads squats db bench bent over rows pullups and like I said I've been doing a lot of kettlebell work.

  5. Still so skinny, and have no lats. Thanks though. I've been doing a lot of kettle bell training recently hopefully that will help my lifts. My body has never felt so wrecked.
  6. How about organic food bars? Still pricey, but less expensive than pro bars. Trader Joe's sells them here for 1.99. The price of the pro bars has kept me from trying them. Maybe I'm cheap, but I could whip up a giant batch of spicy lentils for the price of 1 bar. From what I've heard they seem great. I'm also weary of the nutrition facts. For the time being I'll stick to larabars, and organic food bars.

  9. I don't want to take over the eating log here. But, i have never had the jocalat ones. Very minimal ingredients just like the larabars - they look good.

  13. If you're referring to nutrition on the go, or when you don't have time to prepare a proper meal; here's what I do: Larabars, or organic food bars. The later, no so much because they are quite pricey. Nuts and seeds: I prefer pepitas, sunflower, almonds, pistachios, and goji berries(when I have the extra loot) Smoothies, I usually have at least 1 a day. They go something like this: - frozen fruit: i stick with what's inexpensive which is usually mangos, strawberries, pineapples, and i freeze lots of bananas - greens: spinach, or kale (sometimes both) - a fat source: pepitas, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, almonds - protein: i use a custom mix of gemma/rice/hemp from trueprotein.com, and also spirulina Another thing I do is buy in bulk, and make big meals. Whenever I cook I want it to last at least 2 meals. So, I'll have something to eat for that meal, and then maybe something to take to work. For example I'll make a few cups of red quinoa, or lentils, a package of tempeh, and steamed veggies. Later, you could always mix salsa, hummus, dressings, different vegetables, etc. to make various meals.
  14. any breakthroughs? i've been eating a lot of kale lately, and it seems as though my farts are more toxic than ever. i need a remedy soon. my entire house, and anywhere I set foot reeks. these things are hefty - they linger for ages. not only that, but I feel terribly bloated.

  17. I always do. I feel lathargic, and generally terrible if I lay around.
  18. So much grief involved with trying to take care of your body, and stay healthy.
  19. They told me I need that deep cleaning as well. Im not buying into that one. As for the wisdom teeth i Had mine removed over the summer, and it was cake. I was back at work the next day. My shitty health care covered everything.
  20. Just an update. I had my #2 and #15 molars extracted today. The first one came out with no problems. The second was abscessed, broke into a few pieces, and sort of hurts now. All and all I saved a few thousand dollars, and I'm psyched to start eating again.
