  1. After years of my bad eating habits I decided to do the Dr. Natura three month cleansing and toxinout program. You can read about it here www.drnatura.com. Not ony does it cleanse but it alos will kill parasites in the body should anyone have any. Mostly meat eaters or formal meat eaters might have some. They are in the form of all natural pills, a fiber mix and a tea at night. I agree water will help but I figured this wouldnt hurt especially since I have probably pick up a parasite or two. Everyone has them
  2. David are you following the Eat to Live plan now or just eating clean with an uptake of calories. I want to follow the Eat to Live plan but I will have to change it a bit to keep calories up and also I will be eating 6 meals a day instead of the three that are suggested.
  3. NP I just did not want anyone else reading this to be offended by that so I threw that out there. I was reading the post about the Vegan club in Portland and did not want to come off as a pig.LOL In my menus I will be consuming about 350 400 grams of soy protein a day. I know this has probably been discussed but is this way too much soy? I am trying to find something to up my protein without adding carbs and fat Any suggestions something I can pick up at a local health store?

  5. I am now thinking of abanding my meal plan all together and following eat to live 100%. This goes against everything I know or thought I knew. Actually I dont know jack sh** because I have never stuck to a plan long enough to say I know that. I have read a sh** load but I dont know anything. HMMMMM. Here is the jiist of the Eat to Live plan Breakfast Lunch Dinner Eat 1 pound of raw and 1 pound of cooked veg per day - Not too hard 1 oz nuts only Fruits Legumes Except for the nuts the rest are unlimited. My main focus is to get rid of the fat ASAP. So lots of cardio I would do The three meals a day still has me though. I am still reading the book almost done. maybe this would ease me gently into eating this way but at the same time I could loose a butt load of weight. It is a 6 week program. It sure as hell beats what I eat now. Nothing but crap

  7. David I am looking forward to this. I have been reading this book as well it is very good and my program is based on this. Except for a few things that I do not agree on. One being a low calorie diet especially as my goals are to loose fat not muscle. My goal after that will be to bulk up which certainly cannot be done at a low calorie rate. Second I added oatmeal and soy protein everyday to keep my intake up. I did comtemplate doing his 6 week plan for some extreme weight loss but I would not want to do it with what I know about crash diets and muscle loss. In that extreme diet there is no way one could keep muscle its impossible to loose that much weight without water loss and muscle so I decided to follow 80% percent of it and get a little slower fat loss while I am learning this new way of life.

[/quote] Mike- I am not really sure about all cleansing programs. I saw some that were a 7 day and thought that would just be too much time spent on the john. I did the research on this one as it was the number one selling detox around. I read all the testimonials as gross as some of them were. I decided this would be more casual and it has been working. It is a three month program. Start a thread I would be interested to see what everyone has to say about it
  9. Thanks for the warm welcome. I also wanted to mention that I started Dr. Natura's colon and toxin cleansing programs that are about three months long as well. This might throw my measurements off a bit but I will be alot healthier once I get rid of waste, toxins and any other things that do not belong in my body.
  10. Hello Everyone. I have never been a Vegan so this will be my first time. I will be starting this new WOL on Monday but thought I would stop in introduce myself and get some quick advice on my Meal Plans. I live in SoCal and love to be outdoors and playing golf which has been really hard now with all the weight I have put on and my unhealthy habits. Last year I traveled a lot and with that come unhealthy habits of eating and drinking way too much. I was literally killing myself and for what? I have had the problem of working out for a while then failing or having to go on travel but now have decided to quit with all the freaking excuses and take care of me. Believe me my life has been full of excuses why not to do this and that. I recently had my BF% done as was at 29% and I am currently on meds for cholesterol and weigh 261 not a good combo of anything. I have been reading eat to live as my first book on staying away from meat and dairy. My eyes were really opened to the dangers of eating like that. I was shocked to say the least. My short term goal is to loose 10% of this BF and to get off of meds for good My long term is to get down to 5% and then bulk up and to never be on meds again. I have always had a huge problem with doctors and the government pushing meds on people to treat the problem not the cause. I guess I was just another one of those suckers not no more. Anyway I will be doing some upside down training to stabilize and put more emphasis on smaller muscles before I hit it hard on my fat loss program. This program is no slouch by any means. I will post this a little later. 4 days a week of lifting with cardio and HIIT Here is my meal plans which will use a 3:1 zigzagging method. I did all the long math formulas to find my TDEE but decided to use a more general rule instead as it workout out perfectly. I am trying to stick to most of the Eat to Live methods however I added more calories and Oatmeal. I will also start a blog with this info daily as well and get into more detail Days 1-3 bodyweight x 10 2610 Calories Meal 1 0415 Protein GNC Soy unflavored Oatmeal box of raisins Natural Peanut Butter Barleans 3,6,9 Blend 0700 Protein GNC Soy unflavored Oatmeal box of raisins Natural Peanut Butter Apple 0930 Protein GNC Soy unflavored Pinto Beans Apple Salad which I don’t count in my calories?
