Vitamin B-12: Where To Get It Cheap And Vegan
Im Your Man replied to beforewisdom's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
One thing is sure is its better to start supplementing with b12 as a vegan rather than begin to eat "free-range eggs" after experiencing B12 deficiency and needed b12 shots, as I heard from some ex-vegan. I heard B12 lozenges provide that you let melt with your saliva provide b12 that is much better absorbed than any food, including eggs that anyway are much more expensive and quality has been deteriorated by cooking. -
? You mean you found out the truth about b12 and you don't wanna tell us ? Some raw foodists say they absorb the b12 produced in their gut. Or with a natural diet they would get b12 also on veggies. Some breatharians say there's b12 everywhere, like in the air we breathe. Both raw foodists and breatharians say people with b12 deficiency is because the diet m,ade of processed, industrial food prevents from absorbing well b12... As for me, I think I may have been b12 deficient during the past few months, I can't be sure though, but I have my nose bleeding slightly for 2-3 days, I was often tired and lacking motivation for a few weeks/months, something inside my head was telling me to get b12 from somewhere, circumstances made that I came accros some b12 energy gums the other day in a new vegan store, each gum has 300% dv dose of B12, once I had one gum, I felt the urge to chew one gum after the other, and to eat b12 fortified food, since 2 days I feel so much more energy that I feel like I can accomplish all the goals I plan to do in my life and I must have had about 10,000% of daily value b12 in the last few days, lol...

Maybe. Or maybe if you eat only fruits your body will adapt by rebuilding a longer intestine

Very interesting article by Herbert Shelton. http://www.soilandhealth.org/02/0201hyglibcat/hygienic.review.articles.htm Here are some fascinating ideas: (what's in red is still from the article and author, I just underlined it) The last sentence is good to know, for us vegans And the next sentence is good also, we do not have the monstruosity and bad odor of carnivores My opinion is the same as one comment I found on another vegan forum: "I thought misc was off-topic. That's a good comparitive chart, better if frugivore was on it also, although frugivore is meant to be type of herbivore, according to Wiki, but that has man down as Omnivore, being a mouthpiece for the Elite. Diet is the same with many other topics, orgonite, god, conspiracies etc. People don't want the truth if it rattles their beliefs. It looks to me as if man as Omnivore is one of the main beliefs that causes grief on the planet. For one thing it would be hard to kill 300 million animals with vivisection if we weren't killing millions for meat, and vivisection is what holds up allopathy that kills millions, addicts millions every year."

Yes he is an amazing guy. He is vegan, promotes veganism and animal rights in tv shows, manifestations, and he recently opened a raw food vegan restaurant Crudessence in downtown Montreal. -
7 Billion People By The End Of 2011
Im Your Man replied to beforewisdom's topic in General Discussion
Let's not worry too much, mankind will destroy itself with a nuclear war anyway, or could eventually be unable to reproduce at all, like in the movie Children of Men. Einstein said the 4th world war will be made with rocks and axe, because 3rd world war will already have destroyed everything and almost everybody, with atomic bombs or a new technology, chemical weapons like a deadly virus, and computer virus... More and more couples cannot have children, 1/3 of men are impotent or their sperm is poor quality. Millions of Americans use Viagra to be able to have an erection. With toxic chemicals in most of products everywhere, pollution in the air, soil and water that increase numbers of cancers, endocrine disruptors that make women become men and vice-versa and men have smaller penises, and gmo's and nano-particles that will make god only knows what. A blog about endocrine disruptors. http://xenoestrogens.blogspot.com/ "decreasing sperm count in men all over the world, as well as the fact that the sperm men do produce have more incidents of mutations and are not as healthy as sperm studied 50 years ago." Everyone should read this article : http://nightly.net/topic/59562-pollution-cuases-smaller-penises/ Watch this amazing parody of a scene from Woody Allen's "everything you always wanted to know about sex but were afraid to ask" -

Do I need to supplement saturated fat?
Im Your Man replied to Cellar Yeti's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
And also, don't believe everything you read from people with formal educations and degrees in nutrition who have an interest in veganism. BeforeWisdom, haven't you noticed yet there are many scientific studies that contradict eachothers? Some are good some are not, and sometimes someone on the web may speak the truth while some dietetician with diploma may say things that are not entirely true. So we need to keep an open mind on everything but to be careful and to use our common sense. The human brain is the main tool to learn, study and observe our world so let's use our brain. -
In 2009 George *Rush* St-Pierre (UFC) went to a screening (and watched the whole movie) of the animal rights documentary Earthlings presented by George Laraque (ex-NHL player), he did the French dubbed version, promotes the dvd and he finds a place to show the movie for free (he rents the place with his money) once per month in Montreal and around the city. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=156891212249&set=a.435300487249.229591.729417249&pid=2682047&id=729417249 Laraque, Melissa (vegan activist, founder of vegan cupcakes company La Vegan en Rose) and GSP.

Do I need to supplement saturated fat?
Im Your Man replied to Cellar Yeti's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
What I've read wasn't only about trans fat, it was other things about polyuntarurated oils when cooked - sorry for not being more precise - and olive oil was one of the worst, alos because olive oil goes rancid very quickly, even if stored if a dark, dry and cool place; it started to become rancid when it was made at the facility and then it was exposed to light for who knows how long at the grocery store. -
Thank you! my life is getting better and better, that's the most important, or how much I enjoy life more and more, even if everything is not perfect. How is your life? It was not in Barre; where is Barre? It was at the Vipassana center of Quebec, called Dhamma Suttama which means the best of Dhamma, or beyond the best... in Sutton, Quebec, Canada. http://www.suttama.dhamma.org/gen/en/gen_home.en.htm A nice center, an American came to do the 10 days and then told me it was the most beautiful landscape, amongst the 4 or 5 different centers he went to meditate. But in a few months it will close... but the good news is that it close because Vipassana foundation will sell it and they recently bought an amazing center which will open this Spring or Summer and will be among the bigger and most beautiful vipassana meditation center in the world. The value of the building and the forest around it is over 15 million dollars but they got it for under 3 million, because it was under protection from bankrupty... It,s an old school, with huge gym which will be the meditation hall, and huge dining room, etc. The whole place is over 600 acres. I can't wait to go meditate or serve there; here is a video.

I don,t really know what's with my camera but it keeps taking weird overexposed pics with horizontal lines. Wasn,t doing this before. Anyway here are my Before pics... Pics from today. I just started to go to the gym again and I go only twice per week. One day for upper body and one day for lower body but I like it! This way I have enough time left for yoga, meditation, reading and all the other things in my life. http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh240/organicspiral/muscles/DSC04740copy.jpg http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh240/organicspiral/muscles/DSC04747copy.jpg -
Do I need to supplement saturated fat?
Im Your Man replied to Cellar Yeti's topic in Health & Nutrition Programs
coconut oil is good raw (as well as coconut water, milk, etc) but is also the best choice for cooking oil as I've read polyunsaturated fats like most vegetable oil are very unstable and become trans fats etc. Saturated fats in coconut oil make it the best fat on Earth to use for cooking. And butter is one of the worst choice even if its saturated, because it burns easily and becomes dark, toxic. -
About 3 or 4 weeks ago I went to the gym almost every day for 2 weeks long, doing a split program. Then I didn'"t go to the gym at all since 2 weeks because of christmas, hollidays, and also been away 10 days to do Vipassana meditation in a center. Now I will only go to the gym 1 day per week for upper body and 1 day for lower body. The other days I go to a yoga studio or I train at home. Some days I do 50 push-ups, 50 pull-ups and 25 hand-stand push-ups... I'll do this each day except the post work-out day if my muscles are already sore.

Now that most food is not organic, people are still starving. Millions of people are dying of hunger or malnourrishment despite the promises of Monsanto and other gm crops producers that have been saying for over 15 years that their gm cron and soy will save the world. How come its not happening? It is the opposite. It ruined thousands of Indian farmers, now one indian farmer commit suicide each 7 minutes or something like that. Farmers around the world are now just slaves of those gm crops, companies and their insecticides. I recommand reading the book The World According to Monsanto, much better than the film. You don't see the big picture, see the GMO's issue with a holistic eye and from the point of view of Nature, don't forget that things were created and evolved the way they are and not the way we made it, now we are changing this, and we are against the law of nature, it is inevitable that it will turn against us in the future or right now. Just one example: we noticed that bees are dying; less and less bees, for mysterious reasons but experts suspect it is linked with GM crops. Albert Einstein said that the day bees will disappear, mankind will be able to survive just a few years longer. Unbelievable, now we mix genes of pics in strawberries or fish in tomatoes, we unleash some genetically modified mosquitos in nature, we give gm food to cattle along with grownt hormones and antibiotics and we are planning on genetically modify the cattle itself so that they produce less methane, etc... You think GM food is better for health? You must be kidding. So when you buy food you search for genetically modified stuff. If, as you say in your post, organic food is not so much better for the environment (which I highly doubt, since its more natural, requires less toxic chemicals, etc), it is impossible that non-organic food is superior for health; full of health-hazardous insecticides and pesticides, and the fact it is genetically modified is not good at all, the body is not designed to deal with something that does not exist in nature - and then we wonder why there's 1000% more allergies, cancers, asthma, diabetes etc than a few decades ago. There,s absolutly no benefits from gmo for the people, only for those who make and sell it.

cool ! Thanks. It comes from Hatha yoga I think, but first time I try it. It feels great.

Hi Sophia, welcome! are you already vegan or is it part of the resolutions you wanna take for this new year? Who was that woman you met ? thai is awesome! Did you take a look at the profiles on this website maybe she is there.

I wouldn't eat vegan food cooked in same oil as meat, or tofu cooked on the same surface as sausages, steak, hamburger, bacon and eggs; that would be quite disgusting. I almost never buy french fries (but sometimes I do it at home or with plantain bananas) but if I do I ask if they use lard, animal fats to cook the potatoes in it, and sometimes they do.

This sounds like simply a side-effect of the medicine. Can you get your doctor to prescribe an anti-nausea medication? you began to feel nauseaus about 2 months ago and you stopped eating vegan a few months ago. hm... But if its caused by the medecine, it is kind of ridiculous to take medecine to releive side effects of another medecine, and who knows how many different drugs you will need to counter each drug. Of course if you have no choice take them otherwise stop and the fasting idea is good too.
