  1. How do you think about (incline) flyes? Is this a usefull exercise and what muscles do you train with it? Only chest? It put's a lot of stress on my shoulders. I am training with 21,5 kgs (47,3 lbs) per dumbell. That shouldn't be too much weight.
  2. Robert, speaking about fair competition it might be better if the results of the voting are not visible . You should have a deadline for voting and only after that deadline show the results. I have voted for Bigbwii, but this is so unfair, because all the others did a great job too.

  4. Hi Richard, Well, I guess that this discussion will go on and on... with no clear results. My opinion is that a protein intake of 150, 200 or even 300 grams is not necessary, but of course I am not an expert. At the moment I am trying to gain muscle mass again. My protein intake is between 50 and 80 grams per day. I am 176cm and 74 kgs. After three weeks intensive training I can see some muscles growing. So, I guess my intake should be ok. The question is how much more will my muscles grow with this amount of protein? I guess you can only find it out like this... Keep your protein intake constant or at least nearly constant every day. After some weeks or month of training you will recognize if your muscles are still growing or not. If not you could increase your protein intake and watch if something is happening after a while. You may kiss my ass now, but let me take a shower before...
  5. I did join the summer shape-up contest and try to build up my butt a little during the remaining two months. I started with this two days ago and hit my ass very hard with lunges. I don't know if squats are better, but I can tell you that I am still sore... almost impossible to walk. So, I definitely continue with lunges tomorrow. Squats... I still have a weak lower back and I am avoiding heavy weights at the moment (max. 60 kgs on squating - my body weight is 74kgs). As most people in this forum telling me I have to go very deep with squats to build up my butt, I cannot imagine that lunges are causing more stress on knees than squats.
  6. The benefit is that fat only burns on low intensity, because oxygen is needed to burn fat. With (too) high intensity you are missing the oxygen and no fat will be burnt.
  7. Cool pics. I will never understand you professional bodybuilders. Daywalker, you look MUCH better with your white skin and without the brown stuff used at competitions. And also you look MUCH better when you are not dry like on stage. You look great and just natural on these pics. Keep it that way!

  9. It's quite different than soy sauce. More salty and thinner. I like it a lot. If you find the taste too salty then try Shoyu. Some stuff, less salt.
  10. People who have guns for self-defense should definitely be prepared (mentally/emotionally & with proper training) to use it for that purpose. People should not be prepared to use a gun at all!!!
  11. Completely disagree! This might be for the US where it seems to be normal to have a gun for self-defense.
  12. I can only shake my head about people having a gun and showing it like something which is worth to be seen. I am glad that none of my friends have a gun. Remember: having a gun means always using it. Why else should you have one?

  18. I have had lots of spots (pimples) in my face and on my back till age 26. Even the hardest antibiotics wouldn't help. Apple cider vinegar did. I am 34 yrs now and I have never had any problems again with spots even though I don't use any vinegar anymore. Be aware that acid products do not have to be acid inside your body (like lots of fruits). On the other hand cooked food is even more acid inside your body than you would ever think. That's why I prefer a raw lifestyle.

  22. Sounds cool. I have been taken a long break from weight lifting and need to start again with any kind of sports. Climbing sounds good. I have never done it before (only in the gym as a child). I don't think that I am strong enough for climbing, but it could be great fun. And eating... I am always in for eating. Amsterdam is only 50 minutes for me. Canal bike... well, if I must...
  23. I don't like domesticating animals at all, but I love my cats and dog from the shelter. I guess there is nothing wrong to feed meat to animals, because of their natural behavior. They would hunt in the wild anyway. But if you give them meat please take meat from organic stores. My cats are getting meat from Yarrah http://www.yarrah.com. My French Bulldog is getting only vegetarian food from Yarrah and he is just doing fine. I don't know why I havn't switched the food for my cats to vegetarian. I should do it soon.
