Nobbi, it just dawned on me why I think you're so attractive (which I don't think I've previously said, but Robert and I were talking about you today, and it's true, you're a good looking guy...) ANYWAY - so the reason I think you're hot is you look a lot like Ryan Reynolds! (Who I find to be darn near the perfect physical specimen of manhood) Ok, anyways, I just wanted to share Now I'm embarrassed!

Nice to meet you and welcome! Your picture is absolutely adorable!

100/100 Club and 500/500 Club
veggymeggy replied to robert's topic in Bodybuilding/Strength Training
Hmm, good question madcat! I might be able to do 100 modified pushups, just not 100 regular. Another question - I'm more used to doing pushups using a stability ball because it engages more core muscles. Would that count as a regular push up then or should I move to the floor so I'm on the same page as all y'all? Hehe, I said y'all. -
100/100 Club and 500/500 Club
veggymeggy replied to robert's topic in Bodybuilding/Strength Training
Alright, I've been inspired. I'm going to give this a shot today. I'm certain I can get in the sit ups cuz I usually do about that many at a time, but even spread out over the day I don't think I can get in 100 pushups...thoseare hard for me BUT! I shall give it a shot and make it a goal. I will report back tonight. -
Ummmm....ermmm, hmmm, that was supposed to say I WOULDN'T want you to be towed away in the middle of the night, not I would! Whoops!

Do you think Penelope Cruz or Salma Hayek is hot?
veggymeggy replied to compassionategirl's topic in General Discussion
Wow - so confused! Excepted Salma/Penelope debate, got Kelly Osbourne adoration! Weird, guys, weird. But for the record, Salma is totally hot, Penelope is too teeny, and Kelly....um she's in a league of her own. -
Hooray! Glad to hear it Topher, I would want you to be towed away in the middle of the night.

Just got back from class - I'm feeling pretty good and proud of myself! I was at the gym before 6:30am this morning, and got a good workout in before class. I thought I was going to regret it when I got on my bike this morning because it was SOOO cold out, but it was kind of neat watching the sunrise from the gym, and now I'm really really proud of myself for sucking it up and going. Then - I'm pretty excited for some of my classes. EXSS is gonna be fun - the prof is still young enough to remember some of the things that suck about college, like profs that actually lecture on the 1st day. He did syllabus and let us go I made a friend in my pharmacy class Now, I am home earlier than expected, have time to get some food before running errands then work! I'm so glad things are off to a good start! Wish me luck that I can keep it up!

I am a Bally's member too, when I am at home anyway. I always work out at the Aloha club. I love it there, it's like a second home! I know almost everyone who works there and lots that work out there so it's like visiting friends when I go in. I had a trainer there for most of last year, and it was awesome. We were great friends, so sometimes we'd work out together aside from our training sessions, which was nice and free And I put on a lot of muscle when I had her motivating me. She moved to Illinois though, and I moved here, so I don't see her now Anyways, at least at my club, there is lots of equipment, and not too crowded as long as you don't go at 5pm or 5am.

Hehe, that sounds like me with papayas! No more, ever! I can't even stand the smell of them without getting nauseated

My mistake, you are right veganmadre, you are pretty darn adorable too! Given adequate funding I would travel not only to England, but down to CA for you, out to TX for Sknydpr, up to Canada for CG, back east for Topher, so on and so forth....... but alas, I'm stranded here in Corvallis ....until Vegan Vacation time that is!!!!

Oh my gosh Richard, that is the cutest thing I have ever seen on this forum. It makes me want to fly to England and cook for you.

I am, on one hand, very excited! I'm taking some courses I am very interested in, like my A&P lecture/lab, and my EXSS (exercise sports and science) class. On the other hand - I am really nervous! This is going to be my most difficult term yet, I'm sure. All my classes are very time consuming, and on top of it, I have to keep working at least 30 hours a week to pay the bills. (Like rent to Robert ) Basically what I've figured out, is to get everything done that I want to get done, I'm going to need to start getting up about 5:30am (starting tomorrow) That way I can be in the gym around 6am, in the showers by 7am, and at class by 8am. Then, I am in class until 2 or 3pm, have an hour or so to study, work from 5-10:30, another hour to study, and then in bed by 11:30pm so I can get 6 hours of sleep (which is what I've discovered is best for me). The problem is, well to start, 5:30am is SOOOO early! I don't know how I'm going to do it. Plus when am I ever going to see my friends? I'm a really social person, and on this schedule I'll barely even see Robert. I need time to hang out! Plus there's a boy in Portland that I want to be able to see, and I don't know how I'll manage that either. I should probably just not worry about the boy...but then again he's awfully fun...anyway. These are the things on my mind. I'm stressed Help! Suggestions?

I'm with you guys! Just ask Robert, I'm not a big fan of wearing clothes at any time! I only walk around nude when he's not home just to be polite, but I often walk out of rooms having forgotten to put clothes on.

Hehe, I like how you think Sknydpr!!

This is ridiculous. http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/africa/09/20/ethiopia.lions.ap/index.html To summarize: "Lions attack and eat humans in areas where their wild prey has been reduced by over-hunting, deforestation and population growth. Older lions also become man-eaters because humans are a far easier prey than wildlife. "Killing these lions would be the only way to rescue the residents in the area and prevent other casualties," the police statement added." Ok - so humans killed the lion's prey and decimated their habitat - so now it's time to kill the lions???? What is wrong with this world!!!! Did it not occur to ANYBODY that the humans caused this problem, and more death and destruction isn't the answer!?! GRRR

Hehe, Richard you make my day!

My lips are sealed I feel so special to be in on the knowledge of Robert's poses

Good for you Topher! As usual I'm behind on reading posts, but I'm glad to hear it's off to a good start! Good luck, you'll be awesome! Can't wait till you make it out here!
-
And CG, don't be embarrassed of your fervor! I'd take passionate over apathetic any day!

I've been reading along quietly with this thread for awhile now...I don't have anything particularly helpful to add, which is why I haven't. I must say though, compassionategirl, kudos to you for your thoroughness! You make very eloquent points and seem well versed in biblical topics. And kudos to the others that have replied in a respectful manner and made logical arguments. I was a bit concerned when things started getting heated, but what I love about this board is the mutual respect everyone has! So glad to see it's calmed back down! Love to all!

madcat is right, Portland is awesome if you're a veg. There are tons of places that cater specifically to vegetarians/vegans, and practically everywhere is at least accomodating. For instance, I went to this little hole in the wall Mexican place in NW just a week or two ago, and, not knowing what to expect at all (I was w/ a friend and we had a gift certificate) I was thrilled to find that even a tiny place like that offered soy taco meat! Yum! That's Portland for you!

I love football....and BASEBALL (hehe as Robert and co. well know) but (again, as I was discussing with Robert earlier)...the leather aspect had never even occurred to me....I wonder if a petition drive were started if there could ever be enough force to change to non-leather balls?
-
Yeah, I haven't been lifting much as of late, though I plan to start up again soon....right now I'm doing cardio about 5 times a week
-
hehe....so true, so stereotypically Portland! But the cool thing about Portland is being stereotypical isn't bad! I have seen the dragon boats practicing lots of times, it's really fun to watch. I think I'd like to try it someday!
