  1. Who's the Nerdiest? Let's do Battle. Me first.

Game Systems I have owned: Sega Master system, Atari 2600, NES, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Playstation, Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Gameboy Micro, Nintendo DS, PSP, Playstation 2, Gamecube, X-Box and My Wii( Although being broke and usualyl needing money I now have nothing but an NES) But I am planning on Getting a new PSP( They relesed a Slim Version) by the end of the week and hopefully mum and pop can get me a PS3 for Christmas( Mostly for Kingdom Hearts Three and the PS3 store which will allow me to play Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9 on my PSP) And I will get a Wii again eventually.

Anime: Yeah I'm an Anime nut. Sailor Moon, Fruits Basket, Akira, Princess Mononoke, Ranma 1 1/2, Love Hina, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Tenchi Muyu, Rouroni Kenshin, Patlabor, Metropolis, Card Captors, Spirited Away...that's all I can think of.

Computer stuff: I spend a lot of time online now-a-days with no games to play. I'm usually either looking up videos on Youtube( Often about Video games), Making a video for Youtube( So far I only got one up), On a Legend of Zelda Fan Forum, On Here of coarse ^^, On some video game website getting the latest news, On Myspace or on Torrent Websites downloading free things. When I am online I usually also have my AIM open while I am surfing.

As for non-online things. I sometimes download music. I have a collection of like 250-300 Nintendo Metal songs done by Nintendo Cover Bands. I also like the 80's so I have like 1,000 songs from the 80's. Ah the 80's. I also have something called an Emulator. That let's me play video games on my computer. I currently have an NES, SNES, GENESIS, MASTER SYSTEM and a Nintendo 64 Emulator. The 64 Emulator does not quite work as good as the others because of my slow computer. With some of the games I keep it open in the background so I can play while I am IMing people. I also like to use the computer to download Computer Games like the PC versions of Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8.

What do I read: Mostly Video game Magazines. But I also like to read Betty and Veronica Digest Magazine Comic too.

So are you willing to Battle my Nerdy-ness? Are ya? ARE YA?

That's pretty nerdy. I will attempt to out-do you.

We have a plethora of gaming consoles in my apartment, ps2, n64, super nintendo, Wii, xbox 360, a big ol TV. We also have a bunch of anime series and movies, Akira, Princess Mononoke, Samurai Champloo, Evangelion, Spirited Away, Full Metal Panic, Sai Kono(i hear this is the most depressing anime ever).

I collect vinyl, READ(OMG NERDY), enjoy comics, play Magic The Gathering and try and play D&D games as often as I have time for along with basically obsessing myself with recording music(even though I don't have a recording set up YET!).

I also snort when I laugh sometimes.

  2. I love this, the forum is dominated by people in their 20's...

Yeah, whatever.... we gotta keep all you young boys in line

I have no problem with that.

    Oooo Zach.

    Neither do I.

According to Magnus I look about 28.

Not if you shave your beard though. I say keep it!

If I donate my hair and don't shave I'm going to look like one of three things...

    My exs father.

A member of a death metal band.

    A neo-nazi skin.

None of those are that desirable.

Felt really good. I think they turned the heat up cause I was sweating more today than I have all this year combined.

Time to make some Thai green curry!

  5. Where will the electricity come from?

Cars will not be economically feasible within the foreseeable future.

Nuclear power hopefully. If the oil companies didn't have us by the balls we'd be able to upgrade the plants we have now to ones that produce very little waste and are extremely efficient and extremely safe. If only....

  6. happened today while I was at a regular grocery store stocking up on organic carrots to juice. Some lady in front of me was buying a gallon of cow pus when she was complaining about the price of 6 dollars a gallon.

I think this is awesome because if milk prices go up, more people may turn to soy/rice milk.

I hope so. I've converted all of my roomies over to rice milk. They like the taste better.

  7. I try not to think about the 8 million tons of bullshit out there and focus on my own personal goals. There are tons of distractions out there. I allow myself some but these are more leisurely activities rather than total apathetic escapism.

It's all about balance. Too much of anything is bad for you. I for one am trying to read more books. Noam Chomsky for non-fiction and after I've had my fill of him I'm moving on to Madeleine L'Engle(RIP) and reading and re-reading all of her amazing books.

I also post on here but that's very fulfilling to my goals of being vegan AND my personal fitness goals. I also have many musical aspirations. My main mantra dealing with all of this is to not get burnt out. I don't want any of my passions to become a chore for me.

I agree with being more wreck less(in moderation as always). Just don't do anything too stupid.

  8. You may be one of the youngest but you have one of the awesomest beards

Heheh thanks Rob. It's getting all shaved after Halloween when I donate my hair to locks of love.

Then i'll probably grow some of it back while my head hair regrows.

  9. You don't do very many sets. Do you have any pattern, or just what you feel like doing?

I generally do 3 sets of 8(or more) on lifts i'm using to sculpt muscle and I'm working towards being able to do 5 sets of 5 on my "power" type lifting lifts.

Another thing I do is that with the last 6 lifts(not the skullcrushers or preacher curls) are grouped into super sets.

So basically 1 set tricep pulldowns, 1 set curls, 1 set DB bench and then repeat 2 more times. And then the next super set is One handed pulldowns, curls, reverse one handed pulldowns, incline DB bench. I do this to keep my heart rate up at the end.

In about a month I should have a much more solid workout plan possibly with more days lifting. I'm still trying to find a time I can squeeze cardio in. My college schedule is very busy.

  10. Grrreat lift today.

  11. I don't think we can beat the Germans..........not for a few years. It just depends on how dedicated a few of us decide to be!

It's not as if we over here will stop training for a couple of years just to give a (small) chance of catching up

It was a great weekend (did i say that already?)! Everyone was just great. I love being around cool vegans

I felt skinny all day long between Devil'sP and RR. I need to eat. Actually, my eating has been great the last few days Now i'm off to the gym - squats on the menu

By the way, I like the buttwalker picture (not the caption ). That's how squats are done

    Everyone have a nice day!

You should come to my school and teach all of the male athletics teams how to do squats. It's badddddd.

  12. Hi!

A vegan group here in Austin is doing a restaurant visit to a South Indian restaurant friday night that I have never been to in town (way up north away from me)and I really like to go.

However saturday morning is my first sprint distance (ok well first ever ) triathalon.

I have a feeling that I should try to keep my diet as clean as I can on friday and whatnot So im sorta weary about going out to eat at an indian restaurant as there are some not so healthy things there to taste.

Should I skip out or just only eat certain things?

    Thanks!

Well if it's any consolation to you I think I know of the place you're talking about and I heard it's pretty expensive. I almost went there myself.
