  1. My friend thinks that it's more expensive because i chose to buy all organic foods. I tell him that if everyone bought organic, it wouldn't be expensive and it would help our planet immensely. He couldn't argue with that except he said that's not how it is now. So i told him to change something. If i convert him over i'll crapp my pants. He's an ex Skinhead who ran with the Fierce City Crew in chicago.
  2. Interesting point. I'm pretty sure intestine funciton is a pretty universal thing for all creatures who have them. I could be wrong. I'll ask around the science department if i remember.

  5. I've also decided to put up a few posters Robert sent me with my vega near the weight room at my school. Hopefully i'll be able to get over to workout today. This week has been hell for papers.
  6. I train dogs at our local no-kill animal shelter and help them get adopted. Plus i get a grade for it!!!! I'm also in the process of beginning to pamphlet around campus. Thankfully i'm big and scary so people won't give me too much shit.

My favorite cards that i have include Denying Wind Magenta The Lion Silver Seraph Mahamoti Djinn(sp) And those are just for artwork mainly(although a Magenta the Lion wipe + threshold plus Silver Seraph and some other threshold nasties is also fun) I believe my brother has a Kamahl, First of Krosah and i know a kid who has that one AND the old one when he was mountain not forest. I'm probably going to build a Druid/elves set with Kamahl and a ton of elves(i don't like all elves decks because everyone has one and i wanna switch it up a bit) and a ton of druids for crazy mana and life gain plus the swarm factor. Probably get some class specific card searchers in their and i'll be good to go.
  10. Actually speaking of butts, deadlifts are the single greatest ass toning machines. I can crush walnuts with my butt cheeks now.
  11. People say the same thing to me. My issue is stomach and lower back, used to be some on legs but squats have slowly converted that to muscle.
  12. 1. You think you look sexier in your weightlifting belt than without. 2. You start wearing sleeveless shirts. 3. You start giving jocks advice on gloves/grips(not telling them that it's vegan of course) 4. You think of putting some vegan bodybuilding and fitness flyers in the window of the weight room(and by "putting flyers" i mean wallpaper the damn place)
  13. Wow sounds awesome!!! I was going to work at our auditorium but i'm just gonna work with my dad over winter break instead. I can make about 1500 in a month i'd say. Then, all that money goes to MAGIC!!!! Not really, probably gonna need a few more books, not as many as 1st semester. Also need to get more vegan yummies so i don't have to eat at the caf which is progressively worse, but every once and awhile they throw me a curve and have a really good dish.
  14. Ahhh sweet, another 4 month old college vegan. I know another vegan who goes to Santa Barbara as well. Sadly enough, i can't remember her name right now because i only met her once a couple years ago and didn't even know she was a vegan then.
  15. Haha--that would be pretty cool. We have two members so far... I guess we just need about 10 or 12 more! If you pay for my food and rent i will move to wherever i need to to join that. O wait isn't it all girls? I'll get a sex change as long as i get free food and rent.
  16. The thing is i eat them in fry form, which is horrible. Maybe just baked potatos.
  17. Good lift. I used no belt on these deadlifts. 112.2kg- 2 sets of 5 regular, 1 set of 5 SUMO DEADS. Sumos were a bitch and a half without the belt. Back squats 2x5@275 1x5@255 Took it easy on those after a very intense deadlift session. My lower back hates me but only because it knows how sore it's going to be tommorow. curls 2x8@30 per hand 1x6@30 per hand Iron cross 1 set for 20 seconds @ 20 lbs per hand 1 set for 14 seconds @ 20 lbs per hand Do iron corss before curls next time and i'll be good to go. Tommorow is boring old cariod/abs day. I have to use the upstairs fitness center which is populated by girls who think they're fat but aren't. Pamphleting for vegan bodybuilding and fitness and the book "skinny bitch" ? I think so!!!!!!
  18. I'm probably going to go fruit shopping once a week. Plus i plan on bringing back several bags of spinach to stash in my fridge. Gotta make some room for that. Not going all the way raw yet thanks to my limited food storage space. I'd glady run to the store all the time if i had a bike. Walking to the store is fine, walking back with 20 lbs of groceries isn't. Maybe i'll grab a special food backpack for my trips.
  19. I've decided to just do cardio tuesday thursday and lift Monday, wednesday, friday, saturday with a rest day on sunday. Or rest saturday lift sunday(depends on if i party or not which happens rarely). I don't like to combine cardio with weightlifting because it just really hurts my body in a bad way.

Things i'm cutting out - BS carbs(french fries, potatos, pasta, white flour in general) - late night snacking Things i'm adding - more leafy greens, salads and brocolli will be key - much more raw foods(fruits and veggies) - cardio(bleh) coupled with a more intense fast paced workout(but without muscle burn) I plan to rotate exercises more. This means i'm going to take up twice as much room in the weight room, but i don't give a damn. I'll also be biking as a warm up and a cool down(meaning i have to start way earlier) This will add about 30 minutes to an hour on to my workout. On top of that on days i feel like i can't lift, i will do cardio. This is gonna bust my balls but if this doesn't cut fat, i don't know what will.
  21. I'll grab some of those as well. I'm starting to pamphlet by myself. Maybe grab a few vegetarians because those are more popular(gonna have to convert a few of the cute ones ) I'm thinking about blotting out the PETA at the bottom of one about milk i have. I don't like them and stupid people think they're terrorists.

  24. YES!!! Just got them in the mail!!! Thanks for the pamphlets as well. I can take some of that stuff to my schools duplicating and get a few hundred to pass out for free. Vega bars are amazing. Super filling for something so small. I'll probably be getting a pack of those with my gift certificate i may get to Food Fight! for christmas. I'm excited to try out the berry flavor. Only flavor i haven't tried. I really hope i can get out to Oregon and thank you and Food Fight in person. This summer might let me do that. We'll see!!!
  25. Thanks! I'm really excited about my shoulders in general. I wish i had some before shots. Basically i had nothing. Right now i'm in the process of cutting some fat so i'm going to be a little grumpy thanks to my cutting down on snacking. Add in cardio to that and i'll be punching old people and babies in no time.
