  1. Hi! My name is Justine! I'm 24 and I've been vegan for 3 years and vegetarian for a few years before that. I'm college student studying Environmental Science, a volunteer at a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center, and a volunteer at a farm animal sanctuary. I'm also a wife and a mother of a wonderful 2yo. When I was a teenager, I rowed for the crew team. Now some of my favorite activities involve rock climbing and hiking. I've been admiring vegan bodybuilders for awhile now and I'd like to get involved in regular weight training. I picked up a copy of The New Rules of Lifting For Women by Lou Schuler(NROL4W) and I've loved the routines so far. I feel like I'm pushing myself to do things I've never done before. I never even thought I could do squats with just the Olympic bar, let alone add weight to it! So I guess I'd just like some feedback on weight training routines for beginners. NROL4W seems like a good place for me to start but what are your thoughts on the program? Any other suggestions for what to do when just starting out would be great. I look forward to getting to know everyone and becoming a part of your community!
