I received this email and thought there would be interest in some of the campaigns. Please note that the campaigns are not only in Canada, but in the US, Europe, etc. Please help by phone calls, emails, letters, etc......

Dear Friend,

Welcome to Global Action Network's Action for Animals Newsletter! Our Christmas edition features our campaign to pressure Jacob, a national women's apparel retailer with 200 stores across Canada, to stop selling fur. Within days of Global Action Network's campaign launch, Jacob contacted us to negotiate a settlement. I am absolutely thrilled to announce that they have agreed to pull all fur from their store shelves immediately. Please see our Featured Campaign for more information.

To help you have a compassionate and healthy Christmas, we have included some tasty vegan recipes that are ideal for family get-togethers. And, in addition to all of the regular features, we have included a terrific downloadable image for your computer desktop.

Thank you for choosing to support Global Action Network. Together, we really are saving lives.

For the animals,

Andrew Plumby, Director

Fashion: As if all the brand-names and logos weren't confusing enough, one also has to consider that animals may have died or suffered to produce an item of clothing. This couldn't be further from the truth... More

Millions of dogs and cats in China are being bludgeoned, hanged, bled to death, and strangled with wire nooses so that their fur can be turned into trim and trinkets.
