What to Eat Before Early AM Workout

I workout at 6:30 AM when the gym opens. This is really a non-negotiable most days. I know I should be eating something before I lift. I'm already waking up at 5:45 so I don't want to wake up much earlier than that. That doesn't leave much time for a pre-workout meal to digest. I've been eating a banana before I go as that has simple carbohydrates to give me energy. Is this sufficient or should I really be eating more? I'm trying to cut bodyfat.
