JW Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Late last week, a deer was discovered who had broken through some thin ice on the river. A rescue team came out and was able to use an inflateable raft to aid them in saving the buck. They were able to relocate the buck to an animal shelter to receive medical attention but unfortunately he died yesterday.It has been extremely cold here this past week (the thin ice must have been caused by some sort of drainage outlet). It's a tough one for us animal lovers to take. We were so happy about the rescue and now......The fact that action was taken and the buck had a chance of surviving is a positive thing.
