varugger Posted December 18, 2007 Share Posted December 18, 2007 Great Flavor!1 Can chick peas or soak raw garbonzos2 stalks celery2 green (scallions)1/4 cup Veganaise (I get mine at wholefoods market)1 TBL lemon juice1 Whole Wheat Tortilla wrap ( I use Wholefoods 365 brand)pepper/ms. dash if you want I don't use salt much and if I do it's either a dash of sea salt or equiv. Mash Garbonzos in mixing bowel with bean/potato masher. Just enough - don't go crazy and make soup out of it. I have some whole beans left over when I'm done.Chop celery and scallions fineadd 1/4 cup veganaise Combine all with spatula This makes approximately 4 servings Add to a tortilla wrap and fold it your way! YUM. Breakdown (based upon canned 365 brand garbonzos) 1 Serving= 1 TortillaCal=270.5Pro=6.75gCar=32.6gFat=13gFib=6.6g Obviously this is not a high protein meal but you can add it to other items for a meal. To decrease fat, you can limit the veganaise. Maybe just 1 TBLS.
