Clever Name
Apologies to Ben & Jerry's and any folks who are offended by animal names in recipes! Freeze a banana (peel it first and put it in a ziploc bag). Top with Hi-lo cereal and slivered almonds (or other nut of your choosing). Optional if you can afford the fat and sugar: chocolate Scrape the frozen banana with a spoon to get some frosty, sorbet-like banana...eat it with the hi-lo and almonds, and it's like you're having a banana-nut ice cream cone! And I'm sure it is even tastier with the chocolate! The preceding was taste-test approved by my omni husband, who generally doesn't like healthful food, either. lotus
Sounds good...I am not sure what Hi-Lo is....also I don't understand why you apologize to Ben and Jerry's....
Clever Name
Hi-lo is a special cereal I get at Whole Foods. It's got lots of protein and tastes like graham crackers. Apologies to Ben & Jerry's because they have a flavor of ice cream called Chunky Monkey. Banana ice cream with walnuts and dark chocolate. Very tasty...and now available (at least a similar concoction) from Purely Decadent (Soy Delicious brand) as a flavor called Swinging Anna Banana. Of course, my recipe is more nutritious...probably not quite as tasty, though! And I do recognize Ben and Jerry's ought to be the ones apologizing...to the cowies. lotus
It does sound good! I was pretty excited to see that Purely Decadant came out with 3 new flavors! I love that brand of ice cream.
