Fall is the time to Walk for Farm Animals. Sponsored by Farm Sanctuary, this 20-year-old event raises awareness about factory farming as well as money to care for rescued animals. You won’t be walking all the way across America, of course. Local walks are held in towns and cities all over the United States and Canada. Farm Sanctuary has a list (see below) on their website of events throughout North America. About Farm Sanctuary Founded in 1986, Farm Sanctuary began as a fledgling organization devoted to rescuing animals left for dead at stockyards.
