chewybaws
So, firstly annoying me with blatantly marketing his programs for men, then by closing his forums and accesss to the free ebook for his program and support, now I present; http://stronglifts.com/red-meat-causes-cancer-truth-or-myth/ I mean apart from the program/technique pages on his page, the guy talks complete trash. I've introduced the Stronglifts program to a lot of people (including a bunch on here), and he cashes in a considerable amount with adverts and stuff. Think I should continue to bother? adamx
Stronglifts is a decent program, and a decent program is a decent program. That said, it is basically a rip off of Rippetoes (superior, imo) Starting Strength program. Suggest that to people.
asparagus
I just read that as well this morning, and while a bit disturbed, not surprised. I doubt that the World Cancer Research Fund is a group comprised wholly of vegans, vegetarians, and environmentalists trying to spread their "agenda." They are the ones who funded the study on linking red and processed meats to increased cancer risk. For someone who claims to do a lot of "research", he seems to have glossed over this one. Something pretty funny about his post - isn't Mehdi from Belguim? How about this first line taken from the WCRF's wikipedia page:World Cancer Research Fund International (WCRF International) is a not-for-profit association, established by royal decree in Belgium, with headquarters in London, UK. Marilyn Gentry is President of WCRF International.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Cancer_Research_Fund Judging by a common theme found in most of his blog posts, he is somewhat of an elitist jerk. I usually ignore most of his "opinion column" and only really pay attention to the posts that have to do with technique, different programs, stretching, etc. As for supporting him through ad revenue - unless you click on the ads, I don't think he really gets much from them.
