CMGVeganFit
Hi! My name is Christine. I've been vegetarian for 18 years and vegan for the past year. I am currently interested in keeping the lean muscle mass I've worked very hard to build and leaning out for a fitness competition. I don't seem to have much trouble building muscle, but I continue to have a very difficult time getting as lean as I want/need to be, particularly my lower body. I know it's possible, I just have to find out exactly what combination will get my body to let go of it. Honestly, I don't get a lot of support from folks around me. I am the only veggie at work and the only one in my family and spiritual circles. All I hear is why people could never do it. "I love meat!" is all I hear. I'm kind of sick of hearing it, to be honest. I don't really care if they do or not. Anyway, I want to keep things positive. If you have any suggestions, references, advice, I'd -LOVE- to hear from you! I have been and am a member of another fitness forum, but hardly anyone is vegetarian, let alone vegan. Thanks!Christine Gonzalez
C.O.
Hey Christine. Welcome to the group. I think that lots of us here can relate to your annoyances from people around and their I love meat talk. Its cool that you stay positive about it. I don't have advice for you on leaning up for your comp, maybe seek out some of the ladies that compete here on the forum. Check out the journals section, the ones that compete normally talk about it. Cheers, -Dylan
