JMax
Hello. Kind of new to working out. This may not be the right thread for this but here goes. My goal is to loose weight and build muscle. I need to drop about 20 lbs of fat. I am vegan, eating 5 or 6 small meals a day. I have been finding conflicting info on line. Here are my questions. Do I need to be supplementing with anything? Should I be drinking protein shakes? If my BMR is 2100, how much should my daily intake be to loose weight? How much should it be to gain muscle? Can I do both at once? should I focus on wight loss and then muscle? thanks for any help with this.
C.O.
My 2 cents, I wouldn't focus so much on losing a specific weight. If you want to build muscles you lift weights regularly and steadily increase them. If you want to shed fat do cardio regularly. If you are eating a vegan diet composed of real whole foods and not a bunch of crap that comes frozen in a box you're on the right track. The best advice is look at the training journals and see those that are having success, which seems to be the majority of people who stick to their training. Many people list there workouts and their diets there. If you need specific help with a meal plan, email me directly at [email protected]. I've started a side project creating customized, goal specific meal plans. Good luck, -Dylan
