satyaperformancearts Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Hi everyone! I am so glad that I found this board. I have lived a vegan lifestyle for 15 years now. I am a very active person. A bellydancer and aerial artist and a teacher of both of those things. I have been doing aerial silks for over 2 years now and I feel like I have reached a plateau. I am not advancing in the art anymore and I am very frustrated. I feel like my diet has a lot to do with this because everyone around me is making continuous strides. I really need to figure out a way to keep gaining muscle and excelling at my craft. I do protein shakes, eat enough protein on a daily basis and consider myself to have a pretty balanced diet. It seems tricky because you have to stay active to train your muscles for dancing but you also have to keep some belly fat because that is important to the dance moves correct?
