poppy
Hey everyone, I just joined this forum today and must say it is very very exciting to find Vegans that are interested in optimum health! I have been vegan since I was 8 years old and I am now 25, I have maintained a healthy life style keeping meals fairly balanced and being active. However I am no longer happy with the appearance of my body, while I am not overweight I am not toned and really don't have any muscle. My legs were quite developed from extensive hiking when I was younger but now are loose and in bad need of toning, my arms are also really weak I feel as if I cant lift myself up. So I am here asking for some help If anyone has some advice on a good program to get toned and strong coupled with a balanced vegan diet

poppy
Hi thanks for your post! I have never been on a organized fitness program. I have just kept in shape from my everyday outdoor activities, for example I own a wakeboard school that runs for July and August during those months I wakeboard daily and begin to develop those muscles needed for that sport. My routine changes with the season so I never get a chance to achieve anything, So what I am looking for now is consistency. My body gets going on something and then it stops and then when I go back I have to start from scratch, its not that I have changed anything I have just been going back and forth like this my whole life. So now I want to put an end to this. I am a dedicated person and have now set a goal to keep a routine with me year round. This may sound corny but my goal is a solid 6 pack and to be able to pull my full body-weight up with my arms this is not only important for my well being but I risk injury if I go on this way. So since your obviously going to stay busy no matter your workout routine whats easily accessable to you? A running path? A Pilates Program? Pushups and pullups? Maybe just finding something consistant to add to your life, 3 - 5 days a week may give you the edge youre looking for?
