just remember to keep it in mind next time you're here. You won't be disappointed!!

I agree about the fruit. My only problem is that my daughter (who we call the fruit monster) seems to gobble up all the fruit before I can get to it

no food makes my body feel better than fresh fruit does. Not sure I could be fruitarian though

Wow, 70 pushups in one set? How long did it take you to get to that point?

quite awhile actually....

I've been doing the pushup thing for about a year. When I started I could only do 10-15

I sometimes get these strange urges to see how many I can do until failure.

another 50 pushups last night

then watched the 3rd Matrix flic with my son. I have seen it before but I enjoyed it much more this time. Of course my teenage son thought it was awesome!!! (anything with tons of shooting, fights and explosions is awesome isn't it?)

was thinking about going to the gym this morning but I felt just blahhh

Allergies are kicking in big time and I'm feeling a bit rough.

I'll go at lunch though.

conquered thesweet tooth last night with some popcorn.

okay.... where to start.....

225 pushups on the weekend

Saturday was nuts... my daughter was competing at the provincial track meet. She had an event at 10:00, then went to a birthday party, then back for the 4x100 relay, then we had to go load the van with stuff for the lake, then to a birthday party for us adults.

Sunday we were at the lake with all the fun yard work etc... I did go in the water though.. (still pretty numbingly cold)

back to the city to visit my father for father's day, and home to crash

to the gym this morning

it was TORTURE!! The a/c seemed to be not working. the floors were wet, not sure if tit was the condensation or everyone pouring sweat

really tired this morning.

one of those mornings where your head just feels all foggy and you can't quite wake up.

bad diet choice last night..... couldn't resist the slurpee machine at 7-11

oh well.... as long as it's not a regular thing......

noticed that my t-shirts are fitting a little more snug now!!

(in the old days, veganpotter would jump all over that comment)

the progress in the last few months has been amazing to me. The 3 week period where I did nothing but lift heavy really seemed to get me through the plateau I was hitting.

now if I could only keep my diet clean.....

thanks lobsteriffic , oddly enough the headache has persisted. Still annoying me but for some reason, the workouts seem to help.

MS: yes, the workouts have been a bit challenging lately.

all the lunges on Friday took their toll. I was quite sore on Saturday.

Took it pretty easy on the weekend. Weather was lousy and I was just tired and sore.

My son's grade 8 grad was this morning. ( fun to be a part of it )

Each kid had a quote which was read while they came up for their diploma.

his was:

What my teachers will remember about me: "that I'm loud, funny and a vegetarian"

What my classmates will remember about me: "that I'm loud, funny, and a good friend"

yup sigghhhh

to the gym after the ceremony

felt like lifting heavy so I did:

3x8 @ 90% max

incline bench

lats

squats

tricep ext

shoulder press

rows

3x4

manmakers

1 set to failure

incline bench

lats

squats

shoulder press

rows

100 crunches

15 pushups

I'm beginning to suspect that I'm having sleep issues.

I wake up tired with a headache almost every morning. I have a feeling that my sleep has been fitful lately. I've been waking up a couple times a night (that I'm aware of)

Lots of dreaming action lately too..... had an interesting one the other night about how I was getting around the city on a hospital gurney. I would lay on my stomach and was somehow able to get the thing going by kicking my legs. I would travel on the street along the cars ...... analyze that one!!!!

My son is officially off to high school next year.

Apparently he kicked off some breakdancing mayhem at the grad dance last night. He started busting some moves and pretty soon the DJ was into it and everyone was giving it a try! (I'm sure he will use his social skills wisely in the future)

Hoping to get in a psycho pushup session tonight.

stat holiday yesterday ( Canada Day )

gym was closed so I just did a pushup/bodyweight squats workout at home and went for a long walk.

I'm a big fan of the pushup so it seems to be my fallback exercise whenever I'm travelling or away from the gym.

I used to do this pushup workout by Pavel Tsatsouline which was pretty crazy. Pushups in varying degrees of volume on the hour every hour. (a little interesting when you are at work)

diet still a problem lately. I just can't get over these cravings. sweets and salty snacks (chips, pretzels....)

I just have to get this under control

wow! everything is just a blur these days

I can barely remember what I did last night.... so busy lately

There was no workout yesterday but I'm hoping to get to the gym at lunch.

The family is going to the cottage for most of the summer tonight (I go out on weekends)

This will be make or break for my diet. I'll either eat very poorly or very well as I have complete control on what goes into the shopping cart (my beer consumption may go up though....)

no formal workouts on the weekend but I was very active to say the least.

out at the cottage and I don't want to look at a lawnmower for a few days!!!!

My parents have a cottage at the same lake and they haven't been out for awhile.... the grass was pretty long and they have this old electric mower which took FOREVER to use... had to go over spots three times

(and then I had to do the lawn at our own place too!!!) now I'm suffering for it with allergies... cna't stop sneezing this morning

a few bike rides, a short run, cutting up some fallen trees.... pretty busy!

going to the gym at lunch but I really don't feel like it very much. Hopefully some energy will return before lunch

Hi MS

I haven't tried the neti pot itself but I modify using a dixie cup (yuck.... not the most pleasant experience)

I haven't used it in awhile but it sure does work. Thanks for the reminder!!

Not sure why I didn't put 2+2 together on this. I've been sleeping just horribly because of sinus congestion/swelling

I hear you !!!

Another rotten sleep last night. woke up many times during the night.

I was planning on running some hills last night but I was just feeling so fatigued I decided to pass on it.

Instead I watched the UFC top 100 special (but it did have some motivating moments.....)

to the gym at lunch today but I don't know how I'll do. Between allergies and sleep deprivation this could be interesting

MS to the rescue!!!

used the "dixie cup method" before bed and it helped very much!!!!

(of course I woke up in the middle of the night due to a window shaking thunderclap). The power went out too and then of course I slept in a bit.

But at least I can see sleep in my future

got the urge for a pushup workout tonight.
