benny boy
I have some...should I be worried? Any ideas why and how to reduce it? To be honest it is worse in my right wrist which is my mouse hand so it could be work related rather than gym related.
Guest
Try taping them. Tape your wrist with the back of your palm and forarm in alignment...this will give you the most support.
Matt
I also had wrist pain. I'm not currently doing lifting, but I know how debilitating it can be. I'd also suggest switching your mouse to a "left-handed" position. I'm doing that now, it only took a week or so to get used to, and my right wrist pain is completely gone. Also, if you use a trackpad on a laptop, try using an external mouse (on the left). This really is what happened to me (using the trackpad, that is), clicking so much with my thumb messed up my wrist.
Wobbly Lifter
My guess is it's work, when I used a computer all day I had wirst problems, they cleared up after I left that job, and only comes back when I use a computer a lot. I'd just take pain killers before working out so my wirst didn't hurt, but that's most likely not the best solution.
sydneyvegan
Bicep work and some pushing movements can both cause wrist pain. I tend to wear wrist straps when pushing or curling and it has helped a lot.
Wobbly Lifter
One other thing Reverse curls are really good at training your wirst to stay straight and presvent injury. Excellant exercise, but you may not want to start it until your wrist is better.
benny boy
I do reverse curls and wear grips with wrist straps, maybe I need to make them tighter. I think it might be a combination of factors. I think I may have a slight cold too which is exacerbating my joint pains. Going to switch my mouse to see if that helps.
