xjonfastx
because i do not have a t-bar i do bent-over barbell rows. i have two concerns:i get tired in my arms/shoulders rather than in my back. i was wondering why this was? i am assuming that maybe i am not bending over enough?secondly, when i do feel it in my back it seems like it is in the lower back rather than the upper. could it be that my back is not straight enough? although it feels like its as straight as i can get it.... Wobbly Lifter
I feel them more in my arms too. I think that's normal to some degree. If you feel it a lot in your lower back it's either becuase you have a weak lower back, or are using your lower back to help move the weight. What grip do you use? Does your body move as you do reps? xjonfastx
I use a fairly wide grip. And I have noticed my body moving up through the reps. I try to pay as much attention to this as possible and return to the correct position.
Wobbly Lifter
Wide grip is good, about the same as bench is recommanded. I move my body a bit too, that'd be why you feel it in your lower back I'd guess...
xjohanx
try using some straps, it should help if you get tired in your forearms. about the shoulder thing. i don't think it's bad that you get tired in your shoulders. your rear delts should get quite a pump when you do the bb row correctly.
