I had the pleasure of viewing the car show day before it opened to the public as I was working there this evening.

 

Had some time to check out the cars after my shift and these struck my fancy. Sat inside both of them, sweet.......

This is not a electric car but I thought it was worth showing to all. It is supposed to be able to drive on the street with other cars as well as take flight.

Wow, these are interesting!

 

Talking about electric cars, Tesla Roadster is now in regular production, FINALLY!

They're gonna make ~ 900 of those this year I guess, which is a lot.

 

Also, I am a HUGE smart car fan. I had a smart Roadster-Coupe (~ 45 mpg) before and now I drive a smart cdi which is powered by 0,8 litre Mercedes-Benz common-rail turbo intercooler diesel and achieves 70mpg in combined drive. Now there's an electric one available in parts of Europe! It is even more ecological!

I've ridden in an older version of that first car...not bad. Very practical for low speed community driving and short commutes if you don't need to get on the interstate or highways.

 

When it comes to the Tesla I look forward to seeing its durability. Hopefully the batteries don't crap out after a few months like other long distance electric cars in the past.
