Hi All !

I'm new to this site and I already like it. I have practiced bodybuilding for a year and a half. I'm a vegetarian since last year, and two weeks ago I turned vegan.

So I thought I'd need some advice, if you could tell me if my diet is correct.

I'm a french 23 years old guy, 1m83 (6+feet) and 87 kg (191,8 lbs). I'm currently 18,5% bodyfat, according to my electric scale.

My goal is to reach 11 or 10% bodyfat without losing too much muscles.

My diet is:

Oatmeal for breakfast (100 gr) 350 kcal

A banana 120 kcal

Morning: 500 ml soy milk 240 kcal

Noon: legumes (lentils, split peas...) 150 gr 550 kcal

Afternoon: a fruit, or a piece of bread if too hungry 200 kcal

500 ml Soy milk 240 kcal

Before bed: vegetables with olive oil 400 kcal

My exercices are:

Half the body one day out of three

Next day, the other half

Third day, rest.

Also, I practice yoga, about 3 hours a week or more (30 min or 1 hour course). I run when I feel like it, 20 to 30 min, maybe 2 times a week.

I work 8 hours a day, half on it behind a computer (like right now, lol)

I'll stay on this schedule until late august. I hope to have achieved my goal then.

Am I doing right ? Your comments on it would be greatly appreciated.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, I seem to have lost a good amount of fat since I started this. I must be around 15% bodyfat - I don't have a scale here so I don't know exactly my progress. My performances in bodybuilding are slightly better too.

But the mirror looks definitely better. I haven't been so close to my "ideal body" in my whole life.

But I start to have some little problems - like feeling bad for two seconds after I get up.

I know this is caused by low blood sugar. Right now I feel a little dizzy.

I'm nonetheless wondering if I should worry about it ? Is it normal guys ? Will it last all my diet long ?
