Hello, I'm a 23 year old woman. 5'3 and about 155 pounds. I've recently become vegan within the past few months, so I'm still coming into it and trying to get completely adjusted. I know the foods that I eat now are not bad, but I'm not sure if I'm getting enough of everything I need or are eating the right foods at the right times. I would like to know how much I should be eating and how often. I eat mostly fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and so forth. I've also recently started taking a soy protein powder. As far as exercising is concerned I've tried a few things. At first I just did cardio machines, but my boyfriend told me I needed to do some resistance training as well. That went well at first, I was able to lose 20 pounds, but then hit a plateau! I then tried P90X, a at home fitness program. Upon doing it though I regained some weight! Although I did notice some nice changes after a month of the program. My boyfriend says the weight I gained is muscle, and gaining muscle is good for burning fat. I am still concerned that my diet and exercise programs are not being as effective as they could be. I know I might be a little impatient, but I still feel as though MY RESULTS AREN'T MATCHING MY EFFORTS! I work really hard in the gym, and would go 3-5 times a week for about an hour and a half. I hear so many different things about what to eat and what to do in order to lose weight! I'm so confused and discouraged! Can you guys please help!
